Splinterlands Season Ending: Gold Tier Rewards and Gold Foil Card Surprise!

How fast time flies! It seems like I started the season with renewed enthusiasm the other day, and in the blink of an eye, another season of Splinterlands has ended. The excitement that comes with each season ending is indescribable. What will the end-of-season rewards be like? What new cards will I get? All these thoughts work together to create a strange feeling of love. Today, I will share with you my performance and experience of the reward opening last season.

Season Performance and Glint Achievement

This season was quite challenging for me, as the level of competition is increasing day by day. However, due to regular battles and maintaining the right strategy, I was able to finish the season in the Gold I tier. Those who play Splinterlands know how much patience it takes to survive in the Gold tier.

At the end of the season, I had 41,477 Glints in my achievements. These Glints are very valuable in the current reward shop system, because with them I can buy items or card draws of my choice. Seeing so many Glints together really made the whole season's hard work worthwhile.

Strategic Shopping: Potions

I wanted to be a little strategic before opening the reward draw or card pack. Because opening cards with empty hands, the chances of getting good quality cards are a little lower. So I went straight to the shop with the Glints I earned.

My goal was to increase my chances of getting gold foil and legendary cards. So I bought a lot of potions.

Legendary Potion: I spent 15,680 Glints and bought 200 legendary potions.

Alchemy Potion: I spent 19,698 Glints on 201 Alchemy Potions in hopes of getting a Gold Foil card.

The most interesting thing is that I got a 2% discount on this purchase because I was in a guild, which saved me some Glints. Using these potions doubled my chances of getting something good with each card opening.

Card Opening: A Game of Luck

After buying the potions, it was time to reveal the cards. With Fortune mode on, I started opening the cards one by one. Some great common and rare cards were added to my collection right away.

Some of the cards I pulled were:

Kanaaq Miner (Goblin): A pretty good card.

Marlai Singariel (Rare Tideborn): This Water Splinter card will strengthen my deck quite a bit.

Nim Guard Captain and Colossus Raider: Good additions for both defensive and offensive play.

I'm also quite happy to have cards like Spellmonger and Frankarsgard.

The biggest surprise: the gold foil Thalgrimore!

As I opened the card, a golden glow suddenly appeared in front of my eyes! Yes, I got a Gold Foil Rare card, called THALGRIMORE. It's a card from the Death Splinter.

Usually, getting a Gold Foil card is a matter of luck, and if it's a rare card! I immediately checked the market and saw that the current estimated value of this card is about $1.89. More important than the value, winning battles using the Gold Foil card gives me additional rewards, which will help my account grow in the long run. The alchemy potions I bought finally showed their magic.

Overall, this season's end-of-season experience was great. The rewards of the Gold Tier, the abundance of Glint, and finally the surprise of the Gold Foil card—all combined, I'm very satisfied. Every season brings new possibilities in Splinterlands. I'm now preparing for the new season and hope to share something even better with you next time.

What rewards did you get this season? Don't forget to comment!
