Today was truly a "Fortune" day for me. Because I opened only three Foundations Packs and the results I got are, in a word, incredible! I got Gold Foil cards in two of the three packs, and the interesting thing is—both of the Gold cards are from Earth Splinter.
Below, I am sharing my amazing pack-opening experience today and the detailed review of the cards.
I'm currently in Gold I League, and my rating is 3,300 (3,300). There are only 7 days left until the end of the season. Every win and every new card is very important to strengthen my deck during this time.
Opening packs in Splinterlands is always exciting. You never know what awaits inside the pack. Sometimes it's a normal card, and sometimes something that can change the course of your gameplay. When I decided to open 3 Foundations Packs today, I didn't have high hopes. I thought maybe I'd get some common, rare, or uncommon cards that would help increase my Collection Power (CP).

But after opening the first pack, my heart rate increased. I wasn't prepared for what I saw after opening three packs one by one. Let's see what I got from the packs.
The biggest highlight of today's pack opening was two gold foil cards. Usually, the chances of getting gold foil cards are very low; it's really lucky to get 2 gold cards out of only 3 packs. And both cards are Earth Units, which is one of my current favorite Splinters.
The first gold card I'll talk about is Dread Tafarian. It is a Leonine-type card and belongs to the Earth element.

Card Analysis:
Just looking at this card, you can tell how powerful it is for the frontline. Being a gold foil, it starts at Level 3.
Mana Cost: 9 (9 mana) – This is perfect for high mana battles.
Stats: It has 8 Health, 1 Armor, and 2 Speed.
Role: It will basically act as a "Tank". Due to its high health and armor, it will be able to absorb a lot of damage from the opponent.

In my Gold League battles, where there are 99 mana matches, this card will greatly increase my chances of winning. Moreover, using a gold card gives me an additional 10% bonus on each win, which will help increase my rewards.
The second surprise was Wilhelmdale Deputy. This is also a gold foil car,d and surprisingly, it is also of the Earth element.

Card Analysis:
Mana Cost: 7 (7 mana).
Attack: This is a Ranged Attack card. At level 3, its attack power is 3, which is quite impressive.
Ability: The biggest strength of this card is its Snipe ability (although it can vary by level, but as a ranged card, it is great for the backline.
Survivability: With 5 health and 2 speed, it can survive the backline's snipe attacks for a while.

In Earth Splinter, we usually use magic attacks more (for Obsidian), but if the ruleset is "No Magic" or "Keep Your Distance", this Wilhelmdale Deputy card can be a game-changer.
Not only gold cards, but I also got a nice Rare card called Time Bandit. It's also an Earth element card. Today was a day dedicated to Earth Splinter!

Why is this card special?
Magic Attack: It deals magic damage for 8 mana.
High Health: Magic cards usually have low health, but Time Bandit has quite good health (8 or more, depending on the level).
Slow Speed: It has low speed, which would make it basically invincible for the "Reverse Speed" ruleset.

Today's Experience and Future Plans
Today's pack opening is one of the best moments of my Splinterlands journey. Getting 2 gold cards from 3 packs is no small feat.
How will these cards affect my game?

That's the beauty of the game, Splinterlands—patience and consistency. I play every day, maintain the league, and sometimes get small surprises like this that motivate me to keep playing. It's tough to stay in Gold 1 with a 3,300 rating, but these new foundation cards are giving me courage.
For those of you who are playing Splinterlands, don't give up. Complete daily tasks, open packs—who knows, maybe the next jackpot is waiting for you!
Splinterlands is not just a gam; it's a lifestyle.
