Splinterlands daily rewards collection and 3 Chaos Legion pack opening

One of the biggest joys of the Splinterlands game is to grow your collection. And the most exciting way to grow your collection is to open packs. For quite some time now, I have been thinking that I need to strengthen my deck, especially to survive the tough competition of the Gold League. So today, without further ado, I went straight to the in-game market.

Today was a little different for me. Usually, I wait for rewards, but today I decided to invest some money myself. As planned, I bought 3 Chaos Legion packs from the market and decided to open them immediately. In this article, I will share my experience buying that pack, the opening process, and the details of the cards I received.

Pack purchase decision and excitement

Currently, I have some credits. When I entered the market, I saw that the Chaos Legion pack was still in stock. I added 3 packs to the cart. There was a kind of mixed excitement while buying the packs. Because what's inside these packs is completely up to luck. Maybe a legendary card is waiting, or maybe some common cards will be found.

After completing the payment, when the "3 packs available" text appeared in the inventory, I couldn't take it anymore. I went straight to the "open" section.

Pack Opening: Entering the Magical World

My favorite animation is the one that happens when opening a pack in Splinterlands. It feels like the cards are coming to me from another dimension. As soon as I click on the pack, the cards start shaking and are revealed one by one.

First Pack: Epic Surprise! (Acid Shooter)

A smile came to my face as soon as I opened the first pack. Because I got an Epic card right at the beginning!

This pack contained:

Acid Shooter (Epic): This is an amazing Earth-element card. Costing only 2 Mana, this card can be a game-changer in low-mana battles. Its 'Scattershot' ability randomly hits enemies, which can ruin the opponent's plans.

Goblin Psychic (Common): This is essential for Earth Splinter. Its 'Tank Heal' ability will be a great help in keeping my frontline monsters alive.

It also contained some useful cards like Flying Squid and Radiated Brute.

Second and Third Packs: A Collection of Rare Cards

I wasn't disappointed after opening the next two packs. Although I didn't get any Legendary cards, I did get some useful Rare cards that will help balance my deck.

Regal Peryton (Rare): One of the fastest cards for Earth Splinter. Its 'Flying' ability and high speed keep it from getting missed.

Djinn Apprentice (Rare): A good magic attacker for Fire Splinter.

Venari Spellsmith (Rare): This neutral element card can be used with all types of Splinters.

Daily Rewards and Bonus Cards

After finishing the pack opening, I opened my Daily Reward Chest. Luck was on my side there, too. I got another pack and some reward cards. Two of the reward cards caught my eye—Scales of Justice and Kicking Roc. Let’s take a closer look at these two cards.

Card Analysis: Scales of Justice (Rare)

The Scales of Justice card is a new addition to my collection. It is a Rare card and costs 5 mana.

Defense: Its 6 health and armor make it quite strong.

Attack: It is a ranged attacker. It is quite difficult to get such balanced stats for 5 mana.

Usage: I believe it will perform well in League Battles where there is a ‘Close Range’ ruleset.

Card Analysis: Kicking Roc (Epic)

One of the best finds of the day is this Kicking Roc card. It is an Epic car,d and its stats are really impressive.

Mana Cost: 8 mana. It is designed for high mana battles.

Reach Ability: Its main strength is its 'Reach' ability. That is, I can place it in a position right behind the tank, and from there it can attack the opponent with melee attacks.

Health & Speed: 7 health and 3 speed make it quite durable. I am looking forward to using this card in high mana matches in the Gold League.

Impact on my gaming strategy

Buying and opening these 3 packs today was very profitable for me.

  1. Earth Splinter is now much stronger than before. With the addition of Acid Shooter and Goblin Psychic, both healing and damage have been balanced.
  2. Collection Power (CP) has been increased. Increasing CP was very important to survive in the Gold League. The Gold Foil or Epic cards available from the packs filled that gap.
  3. Market Investment: The value I got from buying packs from the market is much better than what I spent. Epic cards in particular will help increase my win rate in the long run.

Every day is a new adventure in Splinterlands. Sometimes buying packs from the market, sometimes daily rewards—all in all, the ecosystem of this game fascinates me. Today3-packack opening experience was exciting. Although I didn't see any legendary cards, I am happy to get cards like Acid Shooter and Kicking Roc.

Have you also opened any packs recently? What was your best pool? Don't forget to tell me in the comments! See you in the next article, until then, keep fighting on the Battle Ground!
