Those who play Splinterlands regularly know very well that you can't win by just attacking. The most important thing in the game is the right strategy and intelligence. At first, I myself thought that the cards that deal more damage are probably the most powerful. But after gradually entering the depths of the game, my misconception was broken.

I understand that defense or resistance also plays an equally important role in winning. Today I will discuss with you such a wonderful card from Water Splinter. At first glance, it may seem very ordinary or weak. Because this card does not have any attack power of its own.
The name of the card is Digendark Surveyor. It is basically a card of the gnome tribe, and if you look at its stats, you will clearly see that its attack is absolutely zero. You may wonder how a card that cannot attack is so popular with everyone. The answer is hidden in the other great stats of the card.
The Digendark Surveyor card costs only two mana to put on your battlefield. Those who play regularly know how valuable a two-mana card can be at the end of the game. Especially when you have to build a strong team with very little mana, these cards become the real heroes of the game.

For just two mana, you get five health or life and two speed at level one. Getting so much health for a two-mana card is incredible. This simply means that it can easily withstand several strong attacks from the enemy and survive on the field.
In the language of game strategy, we can call it a kind of meat shield. Its main function is to protect the other main attacking cards of your team from behind. Its main goal is to stand in front andabsorbt all the terrible blows of the enemy and lead the team to victory.
However, what impressed me the most about this card is its magical ability. From level one, Digendark Surveyor comes with a great ability called Magic Reflect. Those of you who have noticed the screenshots I shared must have seen it.

The function of Magic Reflect is that when an enemy hits it with a magic attack, half of that damage will be returned to the attacker. According to the rules of the game, the calculation of this damage return is always rounded up. That is, if you deal one damage, you will get one damage back.
When playing with Water Splinter, we often have to face strong magic teams that attack a lot of magic. At those critical moments, if you put this card in the front row, it works like magic. When the enemies come to kill it, they themselves are destroyed due to Magic Reflect.

When you level up the card over time, its effectiveness increases many times over. If you look at the card's level upgrade list in the screenshots, you can see that when it reaches level three, its health increases to six. Then its speed also increases to three, which is very useful.
When you take it to level five while playing the game, another protective ability called Void is added to it. I personally think that this card is a must-have in the collection of those who love playing the game with Water Splinter. It can win you many tough matches.
Sometimes, at the end of the battle setup, we see that we only have two mana left. Then we have to put a card in front that will not die easily. At that moment, Digendark Surveyor becomes the savior of the team with its harmless appearance and Magic Reflect ability.

Even in the game's Little League ruleset, where only four mana or fewer cards can be used, its dominance is worth seeing. No card should be judged or neglected solely by its zero attack. The Digendark Surveyor card has proven that time and time again, even with its zero attack.
If used in the right place, even a harmless Vision card can turn the tide of the entire game in an instant. It's quite fun when your opponent sees their powerful magic cards being destroyed by this card. You can try it out in the battles ahead.
