Those who know the world of Splinterlands know how much time and talent are poured into each card, each fight, and each reward. Especially,y "Guild Brawl" is a place where team cohesion and perseverance work more than individual skills. It seems like another exciting Guild Brawl round has ended. This round was quite special for me, because I had a big plan to do something with the 'Merits' I received as rewards at the end of the brawl.

When I looked at my account after the Guild Brawl ended, I saw that I had a total of 8,027 Merits. Those who play this game regularly know that accumulating 8,000 Merits is not an easy task. Behind this are many unbeaten matches and commitment to the team. I had already thought about what I would do with these merits. I went straight to the guild store. I had only one goal - to buy a Gladius Case.
When I went to the guild store, I saw that each pack cost 2,000 merits. With the merits I had, I could have bought 4 packs, but I tried to be a little more strategic. I bought 3 Gladius Cases, which cost me 6,000 merits. I saved the remaining 2,027 merits to buy boosters or potions to increase the quality of the cards.

It's not enough to just buy a pack; you have to increase the chances of getting good cards. We know that the chances of getting legendary or gold foil cards in Gladius packs are very low. So I bought 15 Blood Stones and 15 Power Stones with my remaining merits. Blood Stone basically doubles the chance of getting Legendary cards, and Power Stone increases the chance of getting Gold Foil cards. These purchases were quite affordable as my Guild Lodge had an 8% discount.

After finishing all the preparations, I went to the 'Mana Well'. This was the moment for which all the arrangements were made. When 3 golden gladius cases were flashing on the screen, I felt a strange excitement in my heart. I turned the potions 'ON' and started flipping the cards with my heart pounding.

After opening the first pack, I was quite optimistic. But maybe fate was smiling a little behind the scenes. The cards came out one by one - 'Whistling Damon', 'Krash Wanderford', and a 'Chimney Wallstop'. I got two rare cards in this palette; one is ‘Relenor Cleave,r’ and the other is ‘Saris’. Even if you don’t get a legendary or gold foil, the rare cards are still quite useful. Especially powerful cards like Relenor Cleaver have a big impact on the fight.

When I opened the second pack, I thought that maybe there would be a big surprise this time. But looking at the cards, I was a little disappointed. Here I got ‘Relenor Cleaver’ (Rare) and ‘Krash Wanderford’ again. Among the new ones was ‘Witch of Warwick’ and ‘CutterBreezee’ as a rare card. It’s quite annoying for a gamer to get the same card over and over again, especially when you are expecting something big. Still, the game’s algorithm won’t follow my instructions anymore!

I had pinned all my hopes on the last pack. The blood stones and power stones were inside the cards, but at the end of the day, luck or RNG (Random Number Generation) is a big factor. Unfortunately, nothing good came of this pack either. Here, I got ‘Liza Fox’ as a rare card. The rest were common cards— ‘Whistling Damon’, ‘Alva the Crusher’, ‘Isgald Vorst’, and ‘Katreba Gobson’. This pack-opening session ended without any legendary or gold foil cards.

It is natural to feel a little disappointed after opening the packs. Although, unfortunately, we did not get anything special from the 3 packs, this is the real fun of Splinterlands. Nothing is certain here. But I am not one to sit back and be disappointed. The cards I got, like ‘Whistling Damon’ or ‘Katreba Gobson’, when they are leveled up, their ‘Bloodlust’ ability is enough to crush the opponent in a brawl.
Pack opening is a game of hide and seek with the gambler's luck. I didn't get it today. Theree are many more brawl rounds ahead, more merits to come. I know that one day, that golden gold foil or red legendary card will appear on my screen. For now, I will have to plan my strategy with these new cards. How was your pack opening experience? Don't forget to tell me in the comments. See you on the brawl field!
