Calamity card: A great tool for destroying enemies in Splinterlands

To survive in the world of Splinterlands, you have to constantly strengthen your card collection. It is quite difficult to win in this game if you are not familiar with new strategies and cards. With that in mind, I recently added a new and very powerful card to my card deck, called ‘Calamity’. To be honest, I bought the card from the market at a very high price. However, considering its usefulness, the price seems worthwhile to me.

There is a special story behind buying this card. A few days ago, when I was playing a battle, my opposition player used this ‘Calamity’ card. In that match, I did not pay attention to the power of his card. I was really surprised to see the way the card was destroying my entire lineup. That's when I decided that I needed to have this card in my collection. Because it is a great tool for putting pressure on the opponent.

I am sharing screenshots of this card's features so you can get a clear idea of its functionality. As the name of the card says, ‘Calamity’ or disaster, its function is exactly the same. However, this card also has a strange and somewhat harmful aspect. One of its special abilities is ‘Electrified’. As a result, it deals 1 damage to all cards on my team at the beginning of each round. At first, it may seem like it is harming itself, but its positive aspects are so many that this slight damage is acceptable.

Let’s discuss the card’s stats and abilities in more detail. This is a card from a Legendary Dragon unit, and its mana cost is only 4. It is really lucky to get 3 magic attacks for only 4 mana. At level 1, its magic attack is 3, speed is 4, and health is 9. It has armour, but 9 health helps it survive for a long time.

The most interesting aspect of this card is its ‘Shapeshift’ ability. As you can see in the screenshot, it can benefit from all types of bloodlines. That is, it is able to adapt to different conditions in the game. In addition, when it reaches level 2, it gains the ‘Life Leech’ ability. This means that whenever it deals damage to an enemy card, its own max health will increase. This largely offsets the card’s ‘Electrified’ negative effect.

When it reaches level 3, the card’s health becomes 10, and it gains a new ability called ‘Expose’. With this ability, it can remove important defences like the enemy’s forcefield, shield, or immunity with an 80% chance. And if someone can take this card to level 4 or max level, it gains the ‘Last Stand’ ability. That is, even if all the other cards in the team die, it can continue the battle alone with 50% extra stats.

I think that if you use this card with the right strategy, you can defeat your opponent very quickly. Especially since it has high health and magic attack, it directly reduces the enemy's health. Although there is a risk of damage to your own card, it is worth taking this risk for a card that can destroy the enemy card in the blink of an eye.

In fact, some cards in the Splinterlands game can turn the tide of the entire match. I think 'Calamity' is one such card. Although expensive, I believe it will work as my investment.
