Just recently, we celebrated the end of the CA presale with flying colours in sale numbers and after a 2-day break, the general sale began on 13th May and is live now, where you can buy all 4 different packs - Standard, Starter, Alchemy and Legendary packs. What is Yaba’s Pickle?

Yaba’s Pickle is the newest monster card that will be distributed via a sale and about to hit the Splinterlands Exclusive Shop. It is available in all three foils - Regular, Gold, and of course, the newest ultra-rare Black Foil. But before we proceed further, let’s take a serious look at the countdown, because you only have 30 days to grab one. And if you really want to perform competitively in modern format, tournaments and brawls, trust me you will want this card in your collection.

🥒 3 Ways to Get a Pickle

There are exactly three ways to get your hands on the upcoming special monster card, Yaba’s Pickle:

1. SPS Stakeholders Drop

• Stake all of your SPS now or buy some more if you can, because a snapshot will soon be taken, collecting your SPS stake and decide how many Pickles you are allowed to buy.

• You get 1 Pickle per 1,000 SPS staked.

• This is a one-time deal, so you miss the snapshot, you miss this chance. So of you want to increase your SPS stake, be sure to do that before the snapshot.

Gold Foil Raffle Ticket Purchase

Missing a good amount of SPS stake? No worries my friend, There is another golden chance for you where you buy a Raffle ticket, and you will still get a Regular Foil Pickle + a shot at a Gold Foil Arcane Card.

• A total of 50 Gold Foil Arcane cards of Yaba’s Pickle will be given away at a rate of one card per day, for 50 days straight, until the end of the sale event.

• The Raffle starts 7 days after the sale ends.

Black Foil Arcane Auction

If you consider yourself a collector and are aiming for the rarest of rare foil version? This auction is your only shot at the Black foil Yaba’s Pickle.

• A total of 20 Black Foil Arcane cards will be auctioned off at a rate of 1 per day, each auction lasting 25 hours.

• The auction will Start 7 days after the raffle ends.

Card Drop Details

Now moving on, let us now talk about the drop rates of this card. As usual, the Regular Foil is the standard version and easiest to pull, but in case if you are feeling lucky or want to boost your odds, you would want to use Alchemy Potions to increase your chances of pulling a Gold Foil—which normally has a 2% drop rate, but gets bumped up to 4% with potions.

Now let’s look at the rarest and most expensive version - the Black Foil. This version is ultra-rare to get, with just a 1 in 4,000 drop rate. However, using Midnight Potions while claiming doubles those odds to 1 in every 2,000 cards.

The card is priced at 150 DEC or 150 Credits, and will only be available for 30 days. After that, It’s gone from the sale page forever and can only be bought at market. Now, here’s something awesome bonded with this sale. As 50% of the revenue from all sales generated will go to Splinterlands, and the other 50% will go to the DAO, thus making this one of the most community-rewarding events yet in Splinterlands. Anyway, the Yaba’s pickle card will only be sold in the Exclusive Shop, so keep an eye out for it.

SPS Snapshot

This sale is a rewarding deal for all those players and investors who are staking SPS. Anyway, for satkeholder, if they want to buy through the Stakeholders method, you need their SPS to be staked before the snapshot.

There are no official date being announced yet, but don’t wait for it and get your SPS staked ASAP. You will get 1 Pickle per 1,000 SPS, and yes, you can stake more to claim more. But there is the twist though, the snapshot system does not apply to Raffle or Auction entries. Those are open to everyone who want to partake and invest.

Gold Foil Arcane Raffle

Now, apart from getting some Pickles through the staking method, This is your another a d a golden opportunity to grab the fold foils.

• Total 50 Gold Foil Arcane Cards

• Drawn 1 per day, starting 7 days after the card sale ends

• Each ticket guarantees a Regular Foil Yaba’s Pickle

• Please note that the raffle draw order goes from highest mint number to lowest

Ticket Crafting Cost:

• 200 Aura

• 10 Vouchers

• 200 DEC
  ( This DEC gets split between Splinterlands and the DAO)

You can enter as many tickets as you want and as announched, they will be burned on entry and will also be tradable on the non-card market. Each day you can see how many people have entered, so you can play the odds.

Black Foil Arcane Auction

While the Gold Raffle warms up the game, the real frenzy begins with the Black Foil. Only 20 Black Foil Arcane cards will ever exist and be distributed vis this auction. These 20 cards go up for auction - one every day for 20 days, with each auction lasting 25 hours. Here in order to get the card, you will need Auction Points to bid. Here’s how to craft them:

Auction Point Cost:

• 1000 Aura

• 50 Vouchers

• 500 DEC
  (Again, the DEC will be 50/50 divided to both Splinterlands and DAO)

Auction Points are:

• Used only to bid

• Tradable on the non-card market

• Returned to you if you’re outbid

So yes, you can play it smart and aim for late-auction steals during the end time, or go all-in early and make a statement to the others. For me, I have currently 36k SPS staked, I SO i will get a bunch of cards for regular foil, Let's see if I can manage some funds to go for the higher foils.
