Splinterlands | VIRID VENOMANCER is a poisonous Magic attacker

Hello Splinterlands fam!

I guess you all are doing well in life and enjoying the day with your loved ones. Though all of you are waiting for the upcoming weekend, but for splinterlands players, they will all be probably busy playing the season end and frontier mode matches. Because if we take a look at the ongoing ranked season, only around 2 days and 10 hours left for this current season to meet its end. So, if you are one of those who have been actively playing in this season but haven't reached your goals yet, either it is to enter a certain league tier or a honourable place in the top champion leaderboard, be sure to accomplish your goal as soon as possible. As it is the last 2 days almost, the season end bloodbath have started already it seems, so so expect to face more high level opponents from now on and the difficulty will only increase from here. So, while maintaining your energy bar, be sure to throw some battles with your proven strategies.

Now for me, I am as usual all in with the new Frontier mode and I am sure that most of you reading are also playing this brand new 100% free to play game frequently, if not daily, and been building your collection of foundation edition cards. Just like most splinterlands players, I also started playing this mode around 5 seasons back, and I can vouch that it is as interesting and thrilling as playing the main ranked mode. Now, as you can see from the screenshots above, I again upgraded 3 more foundation cards to level 2 and while 2 of them are of common type, the rest one is rare and one of my favourite attacker Vengeful Monk. This is one of the top attacks that comes with opportunity ability and 2 melee attack since its initial level and not to mention, its very useful in battles and glad that I am able to upgrade it to level 2, which gave it +1 speed. Leg’s now see how its speed affects my gameplay style while being cautious to use it in Reverse Speed buff matches.

VIRID VENOMANCER

Now, moving forward to the main topic of this post, today I will be talking about another amazing splinterlands card from the latest Conclave Arcana edition. As you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today I will be discussing about the Virid Venomancer. So, if you are interested, let’s take a dive without any further ado.

The Virid Venomancer is a monster type card that was first seen in the universe of splinterlands with the launch of the latest Conclave Arcana edition card-set. This monster belongs to the Earth element and comes from the Orc bloodline. In order to use this monster in battles, you would need to spend only 5 mana, so you can easily fit this card in your lineup when playing small to medium mana limit matches. By rarity, it is a common type card, so you would need a total of 400 BCXs of cards in order to upgrade it max level. The attack type of this card is magic and apart from a decent attack, a small armour on its back and a huge health bar with good speed, this monster also comes with 3 abilities at its max level, which In am about to talk about below. Let us now take a further look into this card’s league wise stats and abilities to find out more.

BRONZE

At level 3, this monster card possesses 2 magic attack power at 2 speed with 1 armour and 3 health, along with an ability called shield ward, which will help you to strengthen your front defense even more.

SHIELD WARD - At the start of the battle, the unit in front of this unit gains shield.

SILVER

Upon reaching at level 5, this monster card’s stats remain same as of its previous level - 2 magic attack power at 2 speed with 1 armour and 3 health. However, though it does not get any increment in its stats, it does get a new ability at thus level called Poison and suddenly becomes a more powerful attacker.

POISON - 50% chance to apply poisoned after a successful attack. poisoned units lose 2 health at the beginning of each round.

GOLD

When you upgrade this monster to level 8, it gets an increased stats of 2 magic attack power at 3 speed with 1 armour and 6 health along with those 2 abilities that ai mentioned above. Thou it does not get any new ability at this level, the increased speed and health will definitely help you on the battlefield.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally when this monster card gets upgraded and reaches its max level 10, there it receives a further increased stats of 2 magic attack power at 3 speed with 1 armour and an increased 7 health. Not only that, but it also gets another new ability called Impede at its max level, with which, it can reduce speed of the targeted monster.

IMPEDE - -1 to target’s speed after each successful attack.

Last but not least, I think the best feature of this card is its magic attack + poison ability. Because when you think about it, magic attacks can rarely be blocked and with poison ability, it is meant to apply this notorious effect into enemy cards more, causing more damage and help you score more wins. The Shield Ward ability on top of it will increase your front monster’s defensive power by providing shield ability to it. So make sure to use a big beast with more health and armour at the front position when using this monster. Overall, I think this monster is really a good one and worth of having in your collection.
