I guess all of you are enjoying an energetic day with your loved ones and eagerly waiting for the weekend to get rid of the weekly stress. But for splinterlands players, well, there’s no off day this weekend because the current ranked season is about to end in 1 day and 20 hours. So, those of you who are playing actively in this season, I hope all of you have already reached your goals and if not, you better hurry, my friend. Because the season end bloodbath has begun, and all the OG players from across the world with their unbearable card collection are hyperactive right now and playing with all their energy. So, whatever goals you have set for this season, whether it is to climb enough trophies to enter a certain league tier or to secure a glorious position in the champion leaderboard, be sure to finish the job as soon as possible while being cautious not to begin a losing streak.

On the other hand, just 2 days ago, I harvested another batch of Grain resources from my land plot and stored around 23k Grain in my resource wallet this time. As usual, when I again reach 100k Grain, I will invest the grain coupled with DEC into Gyldorn’s liquidity pool market and increase my Merchant fees earnings. I have been doing this practice for a while and been inserting all my grain in the pool and till mow, I have been able to invest a total of 698,354 Grain along with 6,148 DEC in the pool and for my contribution, so far I have earned 15,002 Grain and 102 Dec from my share in the liquidity pool. If you are also into Lands and have been running plots and harvesting resources, but are confused about what to do with your produced resources, you may also invest them in their respective liquidity pools, coupled with DEC and start earning passive income without actively doing anything for it.

Vicious Giraffe

Now moving on to the main topic of this post, today I have come up with another awesome Conclave Arcana monster to showcase to all of you. As you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today I will be talking about the Vicious Giraffe. So, if you are curious and want to know more about this monster, let’s take a dive without any further ado.

Vicious Giraffe is a monster type card that first came into splinterlands with the launch of the latest Conclave Arcana core edition card set. This monster belongs to the Fire element and comes from the Mundane Beast bloodline. By rarity, it is a common type of card, so you will need a total of 400 BCX cards to upgrade it to max level. It requires 5 mana to be used in battles, you can easily choose this card in your lineup when playing medium to high mana limit matches. The attack type of this card is melee and it comes with a large health bar with a decent armour on top of it, which makes this an ideal card for defensive purposes. Apart from that, it also holds a very high speed and though its attack power is comparatively lower than many other cards of the same mana cost, it comes with an awesome combo of 4 abilities that make this card very strong. Let us now look at this card’s league wise stats and abilities below to find out more.

BRONZE

At level 3, this card receives 2 melee attack power at 4 speed with 1 armour and 4 health as stats. Not only that, but it also possesses 2 abilities - the first one is the Reach ability that it gets from its initial level and the other one is Painforge, which it receives at this level. So, even at Bronze level, this card seems powerful enough with high defence stats and can be used in the front position.

REACH - Monsters with this ability can use melee attacks from the second position.

PAINFORGE - Monsters with this ability get +1 power when damaged by poison or burning, or hit by an ally.

SILVER

When you upgrade this monster card further to level 5, then its stats get increased further to 2 melee attack power at 4 speed with 1 armour and 5 health. But that’s not all, because at this level, it receives another new ability called Shatter. Clearly, at Silver league, this card possesses enough health + armour combo to be used as a front defence and can easily endure multiple attacks of any kind before going down.

SHATTER - A Monster with this ability can destroy the target enemy’s armour upon a successful attack.

GOLD

When this card gets upgraded further to level 8, it receives further increased stats of 2 melee attack at a whooping 6 speed with 1 armour and 6 health, along with those 3 abilities that I mentioned above. Though it does not get any new abilities at this level, its high speed stats now have a high chance to evade enemy melee and ranged attacks, while its large health + armour combo will make it a good choice to use as front defence.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when you upgrade this monster to its max level of 10, then its stats get increased even further as it now possesses 2 melee attack power at 6 speed with 2 armour and 8 health. Not only that, but it also gets another brand new ability at its max level called Shield Ward, which suddenly enhances your overall defence even more.

SHIELD WARD - Monsters with this ability at the start of the battle provide the Shield ability to the allied unit at the first position.

Last but not least, as you can clearly see, this monster is much more powerful than it looks. First of all, its abilities are very useful against melee and ranged monsters, while they also contribute by increasing the overall defensive stats. If you are looking for a good defence but don't want to spend a large amount of mana for it, the Giraffe, for a 5 mana cost, may be a great choice for you. What do you think?
