I hope all of you are doing pretty well in your lives and spending an amazing day with your family and friends. For those of you who consider themselves splinterlands players and love to play this awesome web3 strategy-based card game in your daily life, I guess that you are all enjoying the thrilling fight while building your account in the game. The Conclave Arcana mini set named Escalation has just introduced in the game and no doubt the way you used to play the game, especially the modern format, is about to change entirely, thanks to these newly introduced powerful cards. Now, if we take a look at the ongoing ranked season clock, only around 10 days and 20 hours are left for this current ranked season to meet its end. So, those of you who are actively playing in this ranked season, I hope you are doing well in the battle arena and continuously pushing your trophy count while earning SPS and Glint tokens as rewards for your efforts. But remember, whatever goal you have set for yourself in this season, be it to enter a particular league tier and loot some juicy reward chests, or to compete against the OG players for a seat in the top champion leaderboard, just try to play with a calm and clear mind and also keep an eye in your battle energy meter, so that you don't end up missing them when needed most. I wish you all accomplish your goals within time and with ease.

Now, talking about my own activities in the game, I am, as usual, playing the Frontier mode on a daily basis and as I have shared in my previous posts, this season, I have two goals in mind upon which I am working right now. The first and immediate goal is to enter the frontier leaderboard and secure a spot there until the season end and on the other hand, my long-term goal is to complete my collection of a max level foundation card collection, which I am only behind by a handful of epic cards as of now. Anyways, looking at my current in-game stats, right now I am playing at the highest Gold I league tier with a current trophy count of 3,320 and having another 10 days in hand, this time I am trying to accumulate trophies faster, so that I don't get caught in the season-end bloodbath and lose my chance to reach the leaderboard. On the other hand, I have already collected a total of 18 entries for the upcoming weekly frontier raffle and having only less than 5 days in hand when the upcoming raffle happens, I will try to increase this number to 54 at least, but let's see how it goes.

Now, moving forward, let us come to the main topic of this post, as today, I will be talking about another amazing conclave Arcana card with you all. As you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today I will be talking about the Quillstorm Mage. So, if you are interested to know kore about this monster, then let's take a deep dive without any further ado.
The Quillstorm Mage is a monster-type card, which was first seen in splinterlands with the launch of the core edition Conclave Arcana card-set. This monster belongs to the Neutral element and comes from the Rodentian bloodline. By rarity, it is a common type card, so you would need a total of 400 CC cards in order to upgrade this monster to its max level. If you want to use this monster in battles, you need to spend a 5 mana cost, so you can easily fit this card in your lineup when playing low to medium-mana limit matches. The attack type of this monster is Magic and apart from a decent attack power, this monster also holds a large health bar at a good speed with 3 Awesome abilities at its max level, which I will talk about later in this post. Let us now take a deeper look at this monster card’s league-wise stats and abilities below to find out more.

At level 3, this monster possesses decent stats that consist of 1 magic attack power at 2 speed, and 5 health. Apart from that, it also gets an ability since its initial level called Opportunity, with which it can target the enemy monster with the lowest health.

OPPORTUNITY - Targets the enemy unit with the lowest health.
When this monster gets upgraded further to level 5, its speed and health stats get an increment and now it holds 1 magic attack power at 3 speed with 5 health. Though it does not get any new abilities at this level, the increased stats will help you well on the battlefield.
As this monster gets upgraded further and reaches level 8, its health stats receive an increment and now it flaunts 1 magic attack power at 3 speed with 7 health. Not only that, but it also gets another ability from level 6 onwards called Oppress.

OPPRESS - Deals double damage to no-attack targets - even those with Weapons training.
Finally, when you upgrade this monster to its max level of 10, it holds 2 magic attack power at 3 speed with 7 health. Apart from that, it also gets a new ability at its max level called Painforge.

PAINFORGE - +1 power when damaged by Poisoned or Burning or hit by an ally.
Last but not least, if you have a soft corner for magic monsters, I think this monster can be your best friend and help you in many different types of battle resets. Firstly, because of its availability due to being a neutral edition card. Next, its low mana cost and decent magic attack power and large health, which you can use as a defensive wall. On top of that, its abilities are also very useful, especially the Opportunity one that I like the most. Overall, I think it would be a great addition to your card collection for competitive play. What do you think?
