Hello my fellow Splinterlands Warriors,

Welcome back to another fresh and juicy Splinterlands post, and I hope all of you are doing pretty well in your lives and enjoying a energetic and peaceful day with your loved ones. For those of you who have made themselves immune to the crypto market and are actively playing this amazing card-based strategy game regularly and working hard to build your NFT card collection, I think most of you are currently busy battling through this new and exciting ranked season. If we take a quick peek at the current ranked season timer, there are still around 9 days and 7 hours left before the season meets its reset point. So there is still enough time in hand to improve your trophy count, secure your goal league tier and win some cool reward chests, and then even make a push for the leaderboard if things go well for you. Just keep in mind to use your battle energy carefully and stay consistent throughout the ranked season.

Now, talking about my own progress in the frontier mode of this game, I am currently playing in the highest Gold I league tier as usual, with a trophy count of around 3,540. My target for this particular season is to reach the 4,200 trophy mark first and then try pushing further for the leaderboard. There is still a fair amount of time left, so I will continue the fight in the bloody arena while hoping for the best.

On the other hand, if we take a look at the weekly Frontier raffle which started just today, I have currently collected a total of 9 entries. With around 6 days and 6 hours left before the raffle draw, I will try to increase this number to somewhere between 54 and 57 entries. Let’s see if luck decides to visit me this time and I finally win something again. Now, in the screenshots above, I have shared the outcome of today's all 3 foundation packs that I won today. As you can see, I have won a legendary, 5 rare cards including 3 archons and all rest common cards. I also was very lucky to win a jackpot card, the Aimee Whisperwind today and the hunt continues for better ones.

Phlegmost

Now moving forward, let us come to the main topic of this post, as today I will be taking a closer look at another powerful monster from the newest Escalation edition. As you have already seen in the title and thumbnail above, today I will be talking about the Phlegmost. So if you are interested in learning more about this monster card, let us dive deeper without any further delay.

The Phlegmost is a monster type card that was introduced in the game with the newest Escalation edition mini cardset. This monster belongs to the Water element and it comes from the Divine Construct bloodline. By rarity, this card is a Common monster, so you will require a total of 400 CC cards in order to upgrade it to its maximum level. Now, if you want to use this monster in battles, you need to spend 9 mana, which makes it more suitable for medium to high mana limit matches. The attack type of this monster is Magic, and apart from its magical damage, it also comes with a balanced defensive setup of armor and health but at decently low speed. At its maximum level, this monster gains a total of four abilities, which makes it a dangerous and durable card. Let us now take a closer look at its league-wise stats and abilities below to find out more about this monster.

BRONZE

At level 3, this monster starts with strong stats that consist of 2 magic attack power at 1 speed with 2 armor and 5 health. Apart from these stats, it gains Fury from level 1 and Reprisal from level 3. This gives the monster a dangerous counterplay against heavy attackers and Taunt-based strategies.

FURY – Deals double damage if the target has Taunt.

REPRISAL – If an enemy unit deals more than 5 damage in a round, it gains Taunt and if camouflaged, is revealed.

SILVER

When you upgrade this monster further to level 5, its stats improve slightly and it now holds 2 magic attack power at 1 speed with 2 armor and 6 health. At this level, it also gains another useful ability called Weaken. This ability weakens the entire enemy team right from the start of battle.

WEAKEN – Reduces the maximum health of all enemy units by 1.

GOLD

As this monster gets upgraded further and reaches level 8, its stats improve and it now carries 3 magic attack power at 2 speed with 2 armor and 7 health. Even though it does not unlock a new ability at this level, the higher attack power and better speed make it much more effective.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when you upgrade this monster to its maximum level of 10, it becomes even harder to remove. It now holds 3 magic attack power at 2 speed with 2 armor and 8 health. At this level, it also gains another powerful ability called Heal. This ability greatly increases its survivability in longer battles.

HEAL – Each round, heals 1/3 of its maximum health (rounded down).

Last but not least, I think this monster can be extremely useful in many different battles. First of all, it comes with a solid defensive setup and gains Heal at max level, which means it can stay alive for a long time in lengthy matches. Another strong point is its magic attack power, which directly targets enemy health while its armor helps absorb some physical damage early on. Even though the speed starts low, it improves at higher levels. The Fury ability is also very valuable against Taunt monsters. Since it deals double damage, this monster can strike Taunt targets with a massive 6 magic damage at max level. On top of that, the Weaken ability lowers enemy health across the board, while Reprisal can punish enemy monsters that deal 5 or more damage by forcing Taunt onto them. Overall, I think the Phlegmost is a powerful and durable magic monster that becomes even more dangerous in long battles. What do you think?

I hope you enjoyed reading my post about PHLEGMOST. Let me know your thoughts about today's post in the comments section below, and I look forward to seeing you all in my next post.
