Welcome back to another awesome Splinterlands post everyone, and I hope all of you are doing great in your lives and enjoying an energetic and vibrant day with your loved ones. For those of you who are actively focusing on this amazing Web3 card game on a daily basis and trying hard to strengthen your NFT card and asset collection, I believe most of you are currently busy fighting those thrilling ranked battles and trying to climb even higher in trophies and surpass your season goal point before the current ranked season slowly reaches its end. Right now, if we take a quick look at the ongoing ranked season timer, around 2 days and 18 hours are still left before the reset happens, so the final grind has already begun, my fellow players. Let us start aiming even harder for better rewards and league positions.

NOW, talking about my own progress in the frontier mode of this game, I am currently playing in the highest Gold I league tier with a trophy count of around 3,980. My seasonal target remains the same as usual, first reaching the 4,200 trophy milestone and then trying for a leaderboard spot if things somehow work out during these last 2 days. On the other hand, if we take a look at my weekly Frontier raffle performance, I currently hold 21 entries and there are still around 3 days and 21 hours left before the raffle draw takes place. This time, I will once again try to push toward at least around 54 to 57 entries before the timer ends.

Apart from that, today I also opened a total of 4 Foundation packs that I had earned from the last 2 days of daily rewards. The outcome actually turned out pretty great, because I managed to pull a Gold Foil Rare Archon card, along with 6 Rare cards and the rest Common cards.

Now moving forward, let us come to the main topic of this post, as today I will be discussing another interesting monster from the newest Escalation mini card set. As you have already seen in the title and thumbnail above, today I will be talking about the Kobold of Burden. So if you are interested in learning more about this monster card, let us take a deeper dive without any further delay.
The Kobold of Burden is a monster type card that was introduced in the game with the newest Escalation mini card set edition. This monster belongs to the Life element and comes from the Saurian bloodline. By rarity, this card is a Rare monster, so you will require a total of 115 CC cards in order to upgrade it to its maximum level. If you want to use this monster in battles, you need to spend only 5 mana, which makes it a very flexible option for low, medium, and even high mana limit matches. Interestingly, this monster does not possess any attack type at all, but instead it focuses completely on support and utility abilities. Even without attack power, it still comes with high health and excellent speed at higher levels, making it a surprisingly durable support unit. At its maximum level, this monster gains a total of four abilities that make it extremely valuable in many different lineups. Let us now take a closer look at its league-wise stats and abilities below to find out more.

At level 2, this monster already carries decent stats that consist of 4 speed with 6 health. Apart from these stats, it also gains the Reprisal ability. This ability becomes extremely useful against heavy attackers because it forces them to target this monster and gives your other monsters more time.

REPRISAL – If an enemy unit deals more than 5 damage in a round, it gains Taunt and, if camouflaged, is revealed.
When you upgrade this monster further to level 4, its stats improve and it now possesses 4 speed with 7 health. At this level, it also unlocks another useful support ability called Swiftness. This ability is extremely valuable because faster monsters attack earlier and also gain a higher chance to dodge physical attacks.

SWIFTNESS – Gives +1 speed to all allied units.
As this monster gets upgraded further and reaches level 6, its stats improve once again and it now carries 5 speed with 8 health. At this level, it also unlocks another powerful support ability called Pinpoint. This ability works amazingly well if your lineup contains one or more Sneak monsters targeting the enemy backline.

PINPOINT – Allied Sneak attacks cannot miss.
Finally, when you upgrade this monster to its maximum level of 8, its stats improve even further and it now possesses 5 speed with 9 health. At this level, it also unlocks another very powerful ability called Resurrect.

RESURRECT – Resurrects an allied unit once per battle with 1 health and 100% armor. All magic debuffs are removed and all magic buffs are reapplied. The resurrected unit skips its turn. This ability can completely change the outcome of battles by bringing back an important frontline or damage dealer at the perfect moment.
Last but not least, I think this monster is one of those cards that may look harmless at first because it has no attack power, but once you look closely at its abilities, you realize how useful it actually is. Even without attacking, its high health and decent speed already make it a solid frontline or support option for just 5 mana. The Swiftness ability is personally one of my favorite abilities on this card because giving +1 speed to all allied units can massively improve both offensive and defensive performance during battles. Another useful ability is definitely Pinpoint. If you are using one or multiple Sneak monsters in your lineup, this ability becomes extremely valuable because your Sneak attacks will never miss their targets. Finally comes the Resurrect ability, which is always a game-changing support skill. Reviving an allied monster with full armor can become very useful against melee and ranged-focused enemy lineups. However, since the resurrected monster only returns with 1 health, it still remains vulnerable to magic attackers. Overall, I think the Kobold of Burden is an extremely useful support monster packed with utility abilities despite having no direct attack power of its own. What do you think?
