Splinterlands | The FERROUS BREWER is a Strategic Melee Backline Attacker

Welcome back to another awesome Splinterlands post, and I hope all of you are doing well in your lives and enjoying a great and energetic day with your family and friends. Now, for those of you who are active players of this awesome strategy game and are constantly focusing on building and max out your NFT card collection, I believe many of you are currently busy grinding battles and trying to improve your rankings in this ongoing ranked season. If we take a quick look at the season timer, there are still around 9 days and 18 hours left before this season wraps up, meeting its end. So there is still a decent amount of time left for you to push your trophy count higher, secure better league positions, and aim for those reward chests or even leaderboard spots. Just remember to keep an eye on your battle energy and use it wisely so you can maximise your rewards.

Now, talking about my own gameplay today, I decided to take a slightly different approach and play in a more conservative mode. Instead of grinding continuously in the frontier mode, I stopped playing after completing just 2 reward missions and ended my session with around 27 battle energies still left. Sometimes it feels better to slow things cool down a bit and play smart rather than exhausting all of your energy in one go. Moving on to my current progress, I am playing in the highest Gold I league tier with a trophy count of around 3,280. As usual, my main goal this season remains the same, which is to first reach the 4,000 trophy mark and then try pushing further to see if I can secure a place on the leaderboard. There is still enough time left, so I will try to progress steadily. On the other hand, if we take a look at the weekly Frontier raffle, I have currently collected a total of 30 entries. With around 2 days and 17 hours left before the raffle draw, I will try to increase this number to around 57 entries to improve my chances. Let’s see how it goes this time.

Ferrous Brewer

Now moving ahead, let us come to the main topic of this post, as today I will be taking a closer look at another interesting monster from the Conclave Arcana set. As you have already seen in the title and thumbnail above, today I will be talking about the Ferrous Brewer. So if you are interested in learning more about this monster card, let us dive in without any further delay.

The Ferrous Brewer is a monster-type card that was introduced in the game with the launch of the latest Conclave Arcana edition cardset. This monster belongs to the Neutral element and comes from the Dwarf bloodline. By rarity, this card is an Epic monster, so you will require a total of 46 CC cards in order to upgrade it to its maximum level. Now, if you want to use this monster in battles, you need to spend only 4 mana, which makes it a very flexible option for low to medium mana limit matches, or the ones with Little Leagues ruleset. The attack type of this monster is Melee, and apart from its attack power, it also comes with a decent combination of armor and health. At its maximum level, this monster gains a total of four abilities, which makes it quite powerful for its mana cost. Let us now take a closer look at its league-wise stats and abilities below to find out more about this monster.

BRONZE

At level 2, this monster holds a decent set of stats that consist of 2 melee attack power at 1 speed with 1 armor and 4 health. Apart from these base stats, it also gets an ability from its initial level called Charge. This ability allows the monster to attack from the backline, making it very useful in different team setups.

CHARGE – Can use melee attacks from any position.

SILVER

When you upgrade this monster further to level 3, its stats remain the same but it gains another useful ability called Relentless Strike.

RELENTLESS STRIKE – If an attack's damage would be reduced by Void, Shield, or Forcefield, it deals true damage +1 instead. This ability ensures that the monster can still deal damage even against heavily defensive enemies.

GOLD

As this monster gets upgraded further and reaches level 5, its stats improve and it now carries 3 melee attack power at 1 speed with 2 armor and 5 health. At this level it also unlocks another strong ability called True Strike. This makes the monster extremely reliable, especially against high-speed enemies.

TRUE STRIKE – Attacks will never miss.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when you upgrade this monster to its maximum level of 6, its stats remain strong with 3 melee attack power at 1 speed with 2 armor and 5 health. At this level it also gains another powerful ability called Immunity. This makes the monster even more durable and harder to weaken in battles.

IMMUNITY – Provides immunity to magic debuffs and Cripple.

Last but not least, I think this monster can be quite useful in many different types of battles. First of all, because of its Charge and True Strike abilities, this monster will almost always attack and deal damage regardless of positioning or enemy speed. Next, it comes with a solid 3 melee attack combined with a decent armor and health setup, which makes it quite effective for its cost. Another interesting thing about this monster is that it offers four different abilities while costing only 4 mana, which is quite impressive and makes it a very efficient card. Overall, I think the Ferrous Brewer is a strong and reliable melee attacker that can perform well in many situations. What do you think?
