I hope all of you are doing well in your lives and enjoying a lovely day with your family and friends. Winter has come, and so do the winterfests, and our splinterlands has also joined the global celebration and brought a pretty big update, yes, I am talking about the avatar or exemplar update. For those of you who actively engage in this game on a daily basis, I am sure that you have already seen the new avatar on your in-game profile. That is your own Avatar, a customisable character that comes with its own playable card as well, called the exemplar. Based on your lifetime progress in the game. While the customisation of the avatar is free, you will be rewarded with a certain number of points, which you can use to upgrade your playable exemplar card stats, abilities, mana cost and element. In my previous post, I talked about this update and my own avatar and exemplar card in detail, so please go check if you haven't already. Anyway, looking at the clock of this ongoing season, we only have around 7 more days before this ranked season meets its end. So, for those of you who have set a goal already in their minds and are actively pursuing through relentless battles in the arena, whether you are aiming to enter a particular league tier or to compete hard for a spot in the top championship, I wish you all the best and hope you reach your goal sooner this time.

On the other hand, the frontier mode is also going great for me and as I have shared in my previous posts, I have been playing this mode daily for a while, and gladly, I have upgraded almost all of my cards to max level already. If you don't know about this newly launched ranked mode in splinterlands, the Frontier mode is completely free to play, and the best part of this game is, you can progress and earn foundation packs or cards, which you can sell for crypto. And as expected, the more powerful and upgraded your foundation card collection is, the better your performance and thus better rewards, so that’s why I am currently running for upgrading my whole foundation collection to max level first, which is not far behind at this point, hopefully. Moving on to my activity in this mode, I am, as usual, playing in the TopGold I league tier with a current trophy count of 3,500. Having another 7 days in hand, I will try to see how much further ai can stretch my trophies this time, while maintaining s good battle energy bar and at least completing 2 missions every day.

Moving forward, let me now come to the main topic of this post as today, as you have seen in the title and thumbnail above, I will be talking about the Deep Delver, another awesome Conclave Arcana monster with you all. So, if you are interested about what this monster creature can do in battles, let’s take a dive without any further ado.
The Deep Delver is a monster type card, which was first seen in splinterlands with the launch of the newest Conclave Arcana series core edition card set. This monster comes from the Death element and it belongs to the Gnome bloodline. By rarity, it is a Rare type card, so you would require a total of 115 CC cards to upgrade it to max level. The card comes with a whopping 7 mana cost to us in your battle lineup, so ideally, this monster can be used for medium to high mana limit matches. Now, the attack type of this monster is Ranged, and apart from a good attack power at decent speed with a combo of high armour + health, this monster also features 3 abilities, which I am going to talk about later in this post. Let us now take a further look at this card’s league-wise stats and abilities to find out more below.

At level 2, this monster card possesses pretty good stats, which consist of 3 ranged attack power at 2 speed with 1 armour and 4 health. Apart from that, it also gets the Rust ability since its initial level, which will reduce the armour from enemy units and help you to damage them to the health easily with melee and ranged attacks.

RUST - -2 armour to all enemy units.
As this monster gets upgraded to level 4, it receives the same stats as its previous league level, and holds 3 ranged attack power at 2 speed with 1 armour and 4 health. But gladly, it does get a new ability at this level called Corrupted Healing, which will help you big time in battles when activated, but with a twist.

CORRUPTED HEALING - Each round, restores 70% of the max health (rounded down) to other allied units. Each time a unit is healed, its max health is reduced by 1.
When you upgrade this monster to level 6, its stats finally get an increase, as now it features 4 ranged attack power at 2 speed with 1 armour and 5 health. Also, thou it doesn't get any new abilities at this level, its increased firepower will definitely help in the battle arena.
Finally, when you upgrade this monster to its max level of 8, it receives further increased stats of 4 ranged attack power at 2 speed with 1 armour and 6 health. Not only that, but gladly, it also gets a new ability at its max level called Deflection Shroud, which helps you by providing a detect ability to adjacent units.

DEFLECTION SHROUD - At the start of battle, adjacent units gain deflect.
Last but not least, as you can clearly see.
First of all, this monster is a ranged attacker but comes with great firepower.
Next, its armour + health combo enables it to endure multiple attacks before going down. But, its speed is low, so it can be very useful in reverse speed ruleset matches, but not so good in normal ones.

Overall, I think it's a strategic card and should not be thrown around in battle mindlessly. If you used to play competitively, then this card should help you win more matches, obviously, and this deserves a chance to be in your card collection. What do you think?
