Hello my fellow Splinterlands Warriors,

Welcome back to another amazingly amazing Splinterlands post, and I guess all of you are doing absolutely great in your lives and enjoying your journey in this awesome Web3 strategic card game. If you are also playing this game regularly like me, then I hope your ranked battles have been going smoothly and you are steadily climbing the trophy ladder while collecting all those valuable rewards along the way. The current ranked season still has around 2 days and 8 hours remaining before it comes to an end, which means there is still some time left to continue battling and work toward those trophy goals. So, whether you are trying to reach a particular league and improve your season rewards, simply have some fun experimenting with different cards and lineups, or push one final time to grab a seat in the top champion leaderboard, I wish all of you the very best for the remaining days of the season.

Now, talking about my own progress in the Frontier mode, I am currently battling in the highest Gold I league with 3,740 trophies. My main goal for this season is to reach at least 4,200 trophies, so there is still a decent amount of climbing left for me to do. and hope I reach there in time. Looking at the weekly raffle progress, I currently have 39 raffle entries collected. There are around 2 days and 7 hours remaining before the raffle ends, and my target this time is to reach at least 54 entries. Hopefully, I can collect the remaining entries before the raffle closes.

Today's Frontier Wheel also brought me another small reward, as I received 1 Battle Energy. This is now my 117th consecutive daily streak, so I am quite happy that I have managed to maintain the streak for such a long period. My current Sparks balance has reached 29,717. I am getting very close to another major Sparks milestone, and hopefully the upcoming daily rewards will help me continue building up my balance to 30k soon.

Apart from that, today I also opened 6 Foundation Packs that I earned from the last two days' rewards. This was another fairly interesting pack opening. I managed to get 1 Epic card and 10 Rare cards, including 3 Archons. I also received 1 Gold Foil Common card, while the remaining cards were regular Common cards. Getting three Archons among the Rare cards was definitely a nice part of the opening, so I am still quite satisfied with what I received from these six packs.

Rila Fen

Now moving on to today's main topic, let us take a closer look at another interesting monster from the newest Reward card set. As you have already seen in the title above, today we will be discussing Rila Fen. So, if you are interested in knowing more about this card, then let's take a deep dive without any further ado.

Rila Fen is a monster type card from the Life element and belongs to the Goblin bloodline. It costs 8 mana to deploy and uses Magic attacks, allowing it to deal direct damage to enemy Health. So, you can easily fit this card when playing medium to high mana limit matches. By rarity, it is an epic type card, so you would require a total of 46 cc cards to upgrade it to max level. At maximum level, this monster possesses four different abilities that provide several different forms of utility, including defensive protection, anti-resurrection effects, healing support, and an ability that can greatly improve other active abilities. Let us now take a closer look at its stats and abilities across different leagues.

BRONZE

At Level 2, Rila Fen possesses 2 Magic attack, 3 Speed, 2 Armor, and 7 Health. Even at its initial level, it already gains two important abilities called DIVINE SHIELD and FINAL REST.

DIVINE SHIELD – Ignores all damage once, after which the Divine Shield is destroyed.

FINAL REST – Once per game, blocks enemy Rebirth, Resurrect, Resurgence, and Soul Siphon effects unless that unit possesses Last Word.

SILVER

At Level 3, Rila Fen improves to 2 Magic attack, 3 Speed, 3 Armor, and 8 Health. Although it does not unlock a new ability at this stage, the increase in Armor and Health makes the monster more durable.

GOLD

At Level 5, Rila Fen increases to 3 Magic attack while maintaining 3 Speed, 3 Armor, and 8 Health. At this level, it unlocks another very useful ability called TANK HEAL.

TANK HEAL – Each round, restores one-third of the maximum Health, rounded down, to the allied unit in the first position.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

At Level 6, Rila Fen reaches its maximum form with 3 Magic attack, 3 Speed, 3 Armor, and 8 Health. At maximum level, it unlocks its final ability called ECHO.

ECHO – Active abilities such as Repair, Heal, and Cleanse trigger twice per round.

I think Rila Fen is a very interesting Epic monster because its real strength comes from the combination of its abilities rather than simply its raw statistics. For an 8 mana monster, it has a respectable defensive setup with Armor and Health, along with 3 Magic attack and 3 Speed at higher levels. It may not be the most aggressive Magic attacker in the game, but it provides several useful tools that can influence the entire battlefield.

The first ability that stands out to me is Divine Shield. Being able to completely ignore the first incoming damage gives Rila Fen an immediate defensive advantage and can help it survive longer. Final Rest is also something that should not be overlooked. Resurrection abilities can sometimes completely change the outcome of a battle, and having an ability that can block Rebirth, Resurrect, Resurgence, or Soul Siphon once per game can give you an important advantage at the right moment. However, I think Tank Heal is probably the most immediately useful ability for normal lineup building. Once Rila Fen reaches Gold level, it can heal the allied monster in the first position every round. This means you can combine it with a strong frontline tank and allow Rila Fen to continuously restore part of that monster's Health. Finally, Echo is what gives the card another major boost at maximum level. Making active abilities such as Heal, Repair, and Cleanse trigger twice per round can dramatically increase the amount of support your lineup receives.

Overall, I believe Rila Fen is a monster that rewards thoughtful lineup building. It is not simply a Magic attacker that you throw into any battle and expect to dominate. Instead, its abilities encourage you to build a team around healing, protection, cleansing, and other forms of support. With Divine Shield providing personal protection, Final Rest countering resurrection effects, Tank Heal supporting your frontline, and Echo enhancing active abilities, Rila Fen brings a surprisingly large amount of utility to the battlefield. So, if you enjoy creating balanced lineups where your monsters support each other rather than relying only on raw attacking power, Rila Fen is definitely a card worth experimenting with.
