Splinterlands | Reached Bronze I in Frontier Mode and got my First Gold Foil Card

Welcome to another Splinterlands post. I hope all of you are doing well and enjoying the day with your family and friends. Now, talking about the game, we are almost near the end of another ranked season and looking at the timer, only around 18 hours left for this ongoing ranked season to meet its end, so I guess all of you have reached your goals already. But if you are yet to touch your goal, then I would suggest to pour all your energy into the battlefield and accomplish whatever goal you have set for yourself, either it is to reach a certain league tier and book those lucrative reward chests or to secure a royal spot in the champion league’s top leaderboard and snatch a piece of the big loot. But keep in mind that the season end bloodbath has already begun and all the OG unbeatable players from around the world are super active right now and have changed the scene of the battlefield into a bloodbath. So, prepare your arsenal and maybe rent or even buy some cards before taking the leap into the battle arena, wish you all the best of luck and hope you reach your goal with ease.

Now, on the other hand, I am sure you already know about the latest update in splinterlands - the brand new Frontier mode in the ranked section, which, without a doubt, has become the new talk of the town. Once again, the splinterlands team has come out with a genius idea to boost the engagement in the game even more and at this point, not only new players but old folks like me are getting attracted to this new, amazing ranked mode. In fact, after taking a long break from actively playing the game, it literally forced me to come back into the arena. If you are also an existing splinterlands player or are thinking of joining this game, I would highly recommend you try this new format and feel the thrill. The main feature of this format is that this mode is completely free to play! Yes, you don't need to spend a single dime to buy or rent cards or after SPS, as this mode only needs foundation edition cards which dan be earned for free by simply playing the campaign mode first and then from the frontier mode itself and of course, there is no need of an SPS stake to win rewards in this mode. Yes, you heard it right, those days are gone when you would need to spend a decent amount of money just to be able to start playing the game and hopefully, this new mode will give the new players an opportunity to try the game out without thinking of any investment. So if you are interested, don't even waste another minute and jump straight into this amazing new battleground to test your might and enjoy an awesome web3 gaming experience at its best.

As I said above, The Frontier mode is the newest gameplay addition in the game, which is designed carefully not only to attract new players into the game without any second thoughts regarding investment, but also to increase the overall engagement in the game and e courage old players who may have lost interest or couldn't catch up with continuous investment to be competitive in the game, like myself. This mode is created in such a way that it rewards players in the form of foundation edition cards, potions, battle energy and, of course, Frontier entries, of course without hurting the existing gaming system or the valuation of paid cards and assets. Moreover, with the Frontier entries, they give you a chance to win rare black and gold foil cards at the end of each frontier ranked season and you can collect them by claiming in the daily rewards or in league tier reward chests as well.

Now taking a look at my own performance so far in this brand new ranked gameplay, as I said above, lime may of you, I have also started playing Frontier mode very actively and been completing the daily missions for the last 3 days in a row now and not to mention, as I keep playing and earning those shiny foundation edition cards, I am also slowly increasing my foundation card collection. Looking at my current stats, today ai have successfully reached the Bronze I league tier after reaching a total of 700 trophies. Now many will think of it as a very small achievement, not even worth bragging but believe me, it was indeed a hard job, especially with the limited number of cards I have in my collection and all of those being base level 1 cards only. However, as I keep playing and earning these foundation cards, my collection is growing slowly and at this rate, I will be able to start upgrading my cards within the next month or so and advance to higher leagues, hopefully.

As you can see in the screenshot above, I have shared my league tier reward, which I received after reaching the Bronze I league tier. I was lucky enough to receive a Frontier entry, one Epic, one Rare and 4 common cards along with a battle energy and 2 potions. I was really surprised to get the Frontier entry as I thought these were only available in the daily rewards, as I used to get them by finishing and claiming my daily rewards every time.

Gladly, I have collected a total of 7 Frontier entries so far and having another almost 4 days in hand, I will surely collect a bunch more entries and try my luck in the raffle. Apart from the league tier chests, I am also receiving good cards from the daily reward chests, just like the one I shared above, where I received a gold foil common card. No doubt that this new mode ignited a spark inside me to play this game competitively once again and thanks to the team for creating and launching this amazing update for us, a great job indeed.
