Welcome back to another smooth and juicy Splinterlands post, and I hope all of you are doing pretty well in your lives and enjoying an energetic and vibrant day with your loved ones. Now, for those of you who are actively engaging in this Web3 strategy game, I hope you are actively playing in this ongoing ranked and frontier season as well. If we take a quick look at the ongoing season's clock, there are only 6 hours and 47 minutes left before this season ends. So no doubt about the fact that it is time to make the most of the remaining time and reach our set goals. So, whether you are playing to enter a particular league tier or trying your best to book a seat on the top Champion leaderboard, I hope you reach your goal quicker this time.

Now, talking about me, I am currently playing in the highest Gold I league with 3,740 trophies. I have decided to stop playing here for this season, and next time I will try to do better and push my trophy count even higher. Sometimes, it is better to take a break, learn from the current season, and come back stronger in the next one. Let's see what the next season brings for us! Moving on to the weekly raffle, I currently have 24 entries, and there are still 4 days and 5 hours left before the raffle ends. My target is to reach somewhere between 54 and 57 entries this time. I still have some time to collect more entries, so I will keep working towards that target and hope for some good luck when the results are announced.

Now, talking about my daily activity, today marks my 150th consecutive streak day in Splinterlands and I am very glad to have protected my streak for 5 straight months. I received 150 Sparks along with another 38 bonus Sparks, which brings my total Sparks balance to 22,653. Reaching another milestone in this daily streak feels great, and I will continue playing and collecting rewards as long as possible. Every little reward counts, especially when we are trying to make steady progress in the game.

I also opened 4 Foundation packs today that I won from the rewards over the last two days. This time, the pack opening turned out to be pretty amazing, as I got 3 Epic cards, 1 Rare Gold Foil card, and 6 Rare cards, including 2 Archons, while the remaining cards were Common ones. Getting 3 Epics from just 4 packs is certainly a result worth celebrating, and the Gold Foil card makes the opening even more exciting. I hope the next batch of packs brings some equally good rewards!

Mindless Thrall

Now moving on to today's featured monster, let us take a closer look at another interesting monster from the newest Reward card set. As you have already seen in the title above, today we will be discussing Mindless Thrall. So, if you are interested in knowing more about this Neutral monster and what it can do in battle, then let's take a deep dive without any further ado.

Mindless Thrall is a monster-type card that was first seen in the game with the launch of the latest Reward edition card set. This monster belongs to the Undead bloodline and comes as a Rare card. It costs 8 Mana, which is quite a high cost, and can be ideally used in medium to high mana limit matches. But it also brings a powerful Magic attack, high Speed, and a large Health bar to the battlefield. As a Rare card, you will need 115 CC cards to upgrade Mindless Thrall to its maximum level. At its maximum level, this monster possesses 3 abilities, which can make it a dangerous choice against the right enemy lineup. Let's now take a look at its stats and abilities at different league levels.

BRONZE

At Level 2, Mindless Thrall possesses 2 Magic attack, 5 Speed, and 5 Health, along with the Phase ability. Even at this level, its Speed is impressive, and the ability to evade incoming Magic attacks gives it an interesting defensive advantage.

PHASE – Magic attacks have the same chance to miss as physical attacks.

SILVER

At Level 4, Mindless Thrall increases its stats to 3 Magic attack, 5 Speed, and 5 Health and also gets a new ability.

OPPRESS – Deals double damage to no-attack targets, even those with Weapons Training.

GOLD

At Level 6, Mindless Thrall possesses 4 Magic attack, 5 Speed, and 6 Health. Its attack increases to 4, while its Health also improves. This makes it an even more powerful Magic attacker, although no new ability unlocks at this level.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

At Level 8, Mindless Thrall possesses 4 Magic attack, 5 Speed, and 7 Health. At its maximum level, this monster gains another interesting ability that can help it deal damage even when its attacks are reduced by certain defensive abilities.

RELENTLESS STRIKE – If an attack's damage is reduced by Shield, Void, or Forcefield, it instead deals 1 additional True Damage.

My Opinion About the Monster

In my opinion, Mindless Thrall is a powerful Magic attacker whose high attack, impressive Speed, and large Health bar help justify its expensive 8 Mana cost. It is not just about sending heavy Magic damage, as its abilities also give it a strategic advantage against different types of opponents. The first thing I like about this monster is its combination of high Speed and the Phase ability. At 5 Speed, Mindless Thrall already attacks pretty quickly, and Phase allows enemy Magic attacks to miss just as physical attacks can. This means it has a chance to evade Magic attacks instead of being an easy target for enemy Magic attackers. When its high Speed and Phase work together, it can become quite frustrating for opponents who depend heavily on Magic damage. The second ability, Oppress, is another great feature. It deals double damage to targets with no attack, including those with Weapons Training. This can be a nightmare for enemy units that cannot attack on their own. If the opponent relies on support monsters or other units with no attack, Mindless Thrall can punish those targets with much heavier damage. This makes it important to guess the enemy lineup before choosing this monster, because the ability can be especially useful when the opponent has suitable targets. Finally, Relentless Strike is a very interesting ability at the higher levels. Sometimes, we face monsters that can reduce incoming damage through abilities such as Shield, Void, or Forcefield. These defensive abilities can make it difficult for our attackers to deal their expected damage. This extra damage can be useful when trying to take down heavily protected enemies.

Overall, Mindless Thrall looks like a strong strategic Magic attacker, especially for players who know how to select the right battles for it. Its high Speed and Phase provide a chance to evade Magic attacks, Oppress punishes targets with no attack, and Relentless Strike offers a way to deal extra True Damage against certain defensive abilities. The 8 Mana cost is certainly something to consider when building a team, but if you can make good use of its abilities, Mindless Thrall can be a dangerous monster to bring into battle!
