Welcome back to another fresh and exciting Splinterlands post guys, and I hope all of you are doing pretty well in your lives and enjoying a calm and pleasant day with your family and friends. NOW, For those of you who have stopped watching the crypto market feed every hour and are just actively playing this amazing web3 strategy game and constantly building your NFT card and asset collection, I believe all of you are currently busy playing the season ranked battles, completing daily missions, and trying to secure as many rewards as possible before this ongoing season progresses further and meets its end. If we take a quick look at the ongoing ranked season timer, there are still around 5 days and 19 hours left before the current season comes to an end, so there is still enough time left to climb higher and chase those valuable rewards.

Before moving toward my activities and today's featured card, let me quickly share some recent activities from my account. A brand new in-game viewing option has recently been released, allowing players to switch between the Battle Mage view and the Dashboard view depending on their preference. Personally, I have already switched to the Battle Mage view and I am enjoying it quite a lot so far. Now, talking about my own ranked progress in the frontier mode of this game, I am currently competing in the highest Gold I league with a trophy count of 3,840. My season goal remains unchanged as I continue pushing toward the 4,200 trophy milestone before trying my luck on the leaderboard once again.

On an additional note, I received another Battle Challenge from the daily Frontier wheel today. This time I played the fourth battle in the challenge series and thankfully managed to win again. As a reward, I received a total of 400 Sparks, which felt pretty satisfying. My current Sparks balance now stands at 9,222. Now, looking at the weekly Frontier raffle, I currently have only 9 entries collected so far, while there are still around 5 days and 18 hours left before the raffle concludes. This time, I will probably keep my target a little lower at around 54 entries. Last time I pushed all the way to 66 entries, but unfortunately, still didn't win anything, so let's see whether luck decides to be kinder this time.

Apart from that, I also opened 8 Foundation packs today that I earned from the last three days of gameplay. The results were fairly decent as I managed to pull 1 Legendary card, 1 Epic card, 1 Gold Foil Rare card, 9 Rare cards including 3 Archons, 1 Gold Foil Common card, and the rest as Common cards.

Now, moving forward, let us come to the main topic of this post, as today I will be talking about another interesting monster from the newest Escalation mini card set. As you have already seen in the title and thumbnail above, today's featured monster is the Magnificent Mollusk. So if you are interested in learning more about this giant beast, let us take a closer look without any further delay.
The Magnificent Mollusk is a monster card from the newest Escalation mini set. It belongs to the Death element and comes from the Tideborn bloodline. By rarity, this card is a Common monster, meaning you will need a total of 400 CC cards to upgrade it to its maximum level. This monster costs a massive 13 mana to deploy in battle, making it a card designed almost exclusively for high mana limit matches. The attack type of this monster is Ranged, and it comes packed with tremendous attack power right from its initial level. Apart from its impressive offensive capabilities, it also carries a solid armor and health combination that helps it survive longer on the battlefield. At maximum level, this monster gains a total of two abilities. Let us now take a closer look at its league-wise stats and abilities below.

At level 3, this monster already boasts some incredible stats. It possesses 6 ranged attack power at 3 speed along with 3 armor and 6 health. Even without any abilities unlocked yet, these raw stats alone make this monster a dangerous threat capable of dealing devastating damage to enemy monsters.
When upgraded to level 5, this monster becomes even stronger. It now carries 7 ranged attack power at 3 speed with 3 armor and 6 health. At this level, it also unlocks its first ability called Demoralize. This ability makes this Mollusk an excellent counter against melee-focused lineups because it weakens every enemy melee attacker on the battlefield.

DEMORALIZE – Reduces the melee attack power of all enemy monsters by 1.
As this monster reaches level 8, its stats improve once again and it now possesses 7 ranged attack power at 4 speed with 4 armor and 8 health. Although no new abilities are unlocked at this level, the additional speed, armor, and health make this monster even harder to deal with while maintaining its devastating attack power.
Finally, when upgraded to its maximum level of 10, the Magnificent Mollusk gains another useful ability called Apex Strike. Its final stats stand at 7 ranged attack power at 4 speed with 4 armor and 9 health. This ability is extremely useful because it allows the monster to focus directly on the opponent's strongest attacker rather than wasting damage on less threatening targets.

APEX STRIKE – Targets the enemy unit with the most power.
Last but not least, I think this monster is one of the most terrifying ranged attackers introduced in the Escalation mini set. The first thing that catches my attention is obviously its ridiculous attack power. Starting with 6 ranged damage and eventually reaching 7 damage at higher levels is simply brutal, especially when combined with decent speed and defensive stats. Another aspect that I really like is its armor and health combination. Despite being a ranged attacker, it is not fragile at all. The extra armor and health allow it to survive longer and continue firing those devastating attacks for multiple rounds. The Demoralize ability is another major advantage. Against melee-heavy lineups, reducing every enemy melee attack by 1 can significantly weaken your opponent's damage output and buy your team valuable extra turns. Finally, the Apex Strike ability makes this monster even more dangerous. Instead of randomly attacking less important targets, it specifically focuses on the enemy monster with the highest attack power. This makes it an excellent tool for hunting down dangerous enemy threats before they can cause too much damage to your team. Overall, I think the Magnificent Mollusk is a gigantic ranged beast with tremendous firepower, solid survivability, and two very useful abilities that make it even more effective in battle. If you enjoy high mana matches and heavy-hitting monsters, this card is definitely worth paying attention to. What do you think about this monster?
