Splinterlands Kervik | A High Power Sneak Attacker

Kaylia Silverleaf.jpg

Hello, my fellow Splinterlands Warriors,

Welcome back to another cool and cosy Splinterlands post guys, and I hope all of you are doing pretty well in your lives and enjoying another wonderful day with your loved ones. If you are continuously engaging in this game like me, on a daily basis, then I hope your ranked battles have been going smoothly and that you are quickly climbing the trophy ladder towards your season goal while collecting daily and season rewards along the way. The current ranked season still has around 1 day and 23 hours remaining before it comes to an end, which means we are now getting very close to the final stretch. So, if you still have enough Battle Energy left, now is definitely the time to make those final pushes and try to finish the season on a strong note. I wish all of you the very best for the season.

Now, talking about my own progress in the Frontier mode, I am currently battling in the highest Gold I league with 3,660 trophies. My current season goal is only 4000 this time, and with less than two days remaining, I will see how far I can push before the season finally comes to an end. Looking at the weekly raffle progress, I currently have 27 raffle entries collected. There are around 3 days and 22 hours remaining before the raffle ends, and this time I am only targeting at least 54 entries.

In Today's Frontier Daily Wheel, it gave me another 75 Sparks along with another 15 Sparks from my daily streak bonus. Today also marks my 87th consecutive daily streak, keeping the 20% reward bonus active. After today's reward, my current Sparks balance stands at 376, and of course, the balance is still quite low after my recent Frontier purchases. Apart from that, I did not open any Foundation Packs sadly today because I just shared all yesterday. So I am planning to save all the collected packs and open them together in my next post.

Kervik

Now moving on to today's featured monster, let us take a closer look at another interesting monster from the newest Conclave Arcana Reward card set. As you have already seen in the title and thumbnail above, today we will be discussing Kervik. So, if you are interested, then let's take a dive without any further ado.

The Kervik is a monster type card that was first seen in the game with the launch of the newest Conclave Arcana Reward card set. This monster belongs to the Water element and comes from the Rodentian bloodline. It is classified as a Legendary monster card, making it one of the rarer cards available in this reward card set that needs a total of 11 cc cards to be upgraded to max level. Kervik costs only 4 mana to deploy and uses Melee attacks, so you can use it in low to medium mana limit matches, or the ones with little leagues ruleset. At maximum level, this monster possesses four different abilities, and they give it a very strong combination of both attack and defence. Let us now take a closer look at its stats and abilities across different leagues.

BRONZE

At Level 1, Kervik possesses 3 Melee attack, 2 Speed, and 4 Health. Even at its initial level, it already gains its first ability called SNEAK.

SNEAK – Targets the enemy unit in the last position.

SILVER

At Level 2, Kervik improves to 4 Melee attack while maintaining 2 Speed and 4 Health. At this level, it unlocks another useful ability called CAMOUFLAGE.

image.png

CAMOUFLAGE – Cannot be directly targeted unless in the first position. It does not prevent indirect attacks such as Scattershot, Blast splash damage, Trample, or Wingbreak.

GOLD

At Level 3, Kervik reaches 5 Melee attack, 2 Speed, and 4 Health. At this level, it unlocks its third ability called EXPOSE.

EXPOSE – Has an 80% chance to remove Forcefield, Deflect, Shield, Void, Void Armor, Cleanse, or Immunity after a successful attack. Expose always removes Immunity first.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

At Level 4, Kervik reaches its maximum form with 5 Melee attack, 2 Speed, and 4 Health. At maximum level, it unlocks its final ability called TANK HEAL.

TANK HEAL – Each round, restores one-third of the maximum Health, rounded down, to the allied unit in the first position.

I think Kervik is a very interesting Legendary monster because its overall stats are surprisingly strong. The first thing that catches my attention is its attack power. Reaching 5 Melee attack at Gold level and above is already impressive, especially when you consider that this monster costs only 4 mana. It also has 4 Health and 2 Speed, giving it enough durability to survive some attacks while continuing to pressure the enemy backline. The Sneak ability is obviously one of the biggest reasons to use Kervik. It allows this monster to directly target the enemy unit sitting in the last position, which is often where fragile support monsters and backline attackers are placed. You can make this even more effective by combining Kervik with one or two more monsters carrying Sneak or Opportunity. With multiple monsters attacking either last or weak targets, the opponent's backline can disappear surprisingly quickly. Then we have Camouflage, which makes it even more difficult to deal with. Since it cannot be directly targeted unless it reaches the first position, your opponent cannot simply focus their normal attacks on this monster while it is hiding in the backline. However, you still need to be careful about indirect attacks such as Scattershot, Blast splash damage, and Trample because Camouflage does not protect Kervik from those effects. The Expose ability is another feature that makes this card particularly dangerous. With an 80% chance after a successful attack, Kervik can remove several powerful defensive abilities from the target, including Forcefield, Deflect, Shield, Void, and Void Armor. This means that even heavily protected enemy monsters can potentially lose their defensive advantages after being attacked by Kervik. Finally, Tank Heal gives Kervik a completely different purpose. While it is busy attacking the enemy backline, it can also restore one-third of the maximum Health of your frontline monster every round. Since Camouflage helps Kervik survive longer in the backline, there is a good chance that it can continue providing this healing support for several rounds. So, Kervik is not simply a Sneak attacker. It can simultaneously weaken enemy defences and keep your frontline alive. Overall, I believe Kervik is an excellent 4-mana Legendary monster that combines high offensive power with several useful abilities. Its Sneak makes it dangerous against enemy backlines, Camouflage keeps it protected from direct attacks, Expose helps remove defensive abilities, and Tank Heal provides valuable support to the frontline. It is the kind of card that can perform multiple jobs at the same time and I hope you also find it useful.

I hope you enjoyed reading my post about KERVIK. Let me know your thoughts about today's post in the comments section below, and I look forward to seeing you all in my next post.

me gustó "Since it cannot be directly targeted unless it reaches the f...", porque refleja una realidad que a veces se nos pasa.

I really enjoyed this card the last time I rented it.Though It was not at full max,it was level three and having both the sneak and camouflage abilities. Great card I would say.But really expensive to purchase and it is worth it I must say as well.Legendary cards are expensive .Thanks for updating.
