Welcome back to another fresh Splinterlands post, and I hope all of you are doing pretty well in your lives and enjoying another amazing day with your family and friends. Now, for those of you who are actively engaging in this Web3 game, I hope you are actively playing in this ongoing ranked and frontier season as well, while eagerly waiting for the upcoming weekend. Now, there are still around 5 days and 19 hours left before the current ranked season comes to an end. So, there is still a decent amount of time left for all of us to push our trophies, improve our leaderboard position, and try to achieve our season goals. Whether it is to steadily make progress and reach your goal league tier or secure a seat in the top champion leaderboard, I hope you are making the most of these remaining days.

Now, talking about my own progress in the Frontier mode, as usual, I am currently battling in the highest Gold I league and sitting at around 3680 trophies. My current target is to first reach 4200 trophies and then try to push further towards the leaderboard.

Apart from that, today was another successful day for my Frontier Daily Wheel streak. I have now reached my 129th consecutive day, which is honestly becoming a pretty satisfying milestone to maintain. Today I received another 200 Sparks along with an additional 50 Sparks, bringing my total Spark balance to 18,617. Slowly but steadily, these daily rewards are adding up, and I am quite happy to keep this streak alive. Now moving on to the weekly raffle, I currently have 33 entries and there are around 3 days and 18 hours left before the raffle takes place. My target is to reach somewhere between 51 and 54 entries before the raffle ends. So, I still have some work to do, but with a few days remaining, I am hoping to increase my entries further.

I also opened 6 packs recently, and the results were quite interesting this time. From those packs, I received 1 Legendary card, 1 Epic card, 8 Rare cards including 1 Archon, 1 Gold Foil Common card, and the rest were regular Common cards. So overall, I got a pretty mixed collection from those packs, and getting a Gold Foil card along with the higher rarity cards definitely made the opening more interesting.

Now moving on to today's featured monster, let us take a closer look at another interesting monster from the newest Reward card set. As you have already seen in the title above, today we will be discussing the Gravebrand Warlock. So, if you are interested in knowing more about this high-powered magic attacker and its interesting abilities, then let's take a deep dive without any further ado.
Gravebrand Warlock is a monster type card that comes from the Death element and belongs to the Canisian bloodline. It is a Rare type card, so you would require a total of 115 BCX cards to upgrade it to max level. It costs 8 mana to deploy and uses Magic attacks, which makes it more suitable for medium to high mana limit battles where you have enough room to include a powerful attacker. At maximum level, this monster possesses three different abilities, giving it a combination of team support, offensive finishing power, and a very unusual resurrection mechanic. Let us now take a closer look at its stats and abilities across different leagues.

At Level 2, Gravebrand Warlock possesses 3 Magic attack, 1 Speed, and 5 Health. It does not have any Armor at this level, but it already comes with a useful ability called SWIFTNESS.

SWIFTNESS – Gives +1 Speed to all allied units.
At Level 4, Gravebrand Warlock continues with 3 Magic attack and 1 Speed, while its Health increases to 6. At this stage, it unlocks another powerful ability called EXECUTE.

EXECUTE – If the target has 2 or less Health after a successful attack, it performs another attack on the same unit.
At Level 6, Gravebrand Warlock improves to 4 Magic attack and 2 Speed while maintaining 6 Health. Although it does not unlock a new ability at this stage, the increase in its Magic attack and Speed makes it noticeably stronger on the battlefield.
At Level 8, Gravebrand Warlock reaches its maximum level with 4 Magic attack, 2 Speed, and 7 Health. At this stage, it unlocks its final ability called SOUL SIPHON.

SOUL SIPHON – As long as there is a non-Weary allied unit, self-resurrects with 100% Armor and 50% of max Health, rounded down. All Magic debuffs are removed and all Magic buffs are reapplied. Inflicts Weary on the non-Weary allied unit with the highest Health and reduces their Health by 50%, rounded up.
First of all, I think Gravebrand Warlock is a very interesting monster because of the amount of power packed into this card. Yes, an 8 mana cost is certainly on the higher side, so this is not the kind of monster that you can casually throw into every low mana battle. But considering its high-powered Magic attack, decent Health, and three useful abilities at maximum level, I think the card can justify its mana cost in the right ruleset and team composition. Its biggest weakness is definitely its low Speed, especially at the lower levels, and the fact that it does not have any Armor. So, although it has good Health, you still need to think carefully about how you are going to protect it.
First of all, the SWIFTNESS ability is already very useful from the Bronze league itself. Giving +1 Speed to all allied units means Gravebrand Warlock is not only helping itself, but also supporting the entire team. This can make a noticeable difference because Speed affects how quickly your units can attack and can also help them perform better against slower opponents. Then we have EXECUTE, which is probably one of the most satisfying abilities to watch activate. If the first attack leaves the target with 2 or less Health, Gravebrand Warlock immediately gets another attack on the same target. This means it can finish off weakened enemies instead of simply leaving them alive with a tiny amount of Health. Finally, we have SOUL SIPHON, which makes this monster even more unusual. This is another new and amazing ability that works in a way similar to resurrection, but with its own twist. Instead of simply coming back without any additional consequence, Gravebrand Warlock requires a non-Weary allied unit and then transfers part of the burden to that allied unit.
Overall, I think Gravebrand Warlock is a very powerful Magic attacker with a fascinating combination of abilities. The 8 mana cost and low Speed may require some planning, but the high Magic attack, team-wide Speed boost, Execute, and unique Soul Siphon make this monster stand out from many ordinary attackers. Personally, I really like the combination of offensive power and unusual utility that this new Reward card brings to the battlefield.
