Welcome to another splinterlands post and I hope all of you are doing well in life and enjoying the day with your loved ones. If you are also a splinterlands player like me, then you must be busy battling in the arena right now and trying to perform your very best before this ongoing ranked season meets its end. If we take a look at the current season clock, only around 6 days remain for this season to meet its end. So clearly, there’s not much time left before our trophy count gets reset and a new, fresh season starts. So, whatever goal you have set for yourself in this season, whether it is to reach a certain league tier or to compete in the champion top leaderboard, I hope you reach there soon, if not already. If you are one of the old veteran players in the game, you already know that the battle arena literally transforms into a bloodbath during these last 2-3 days, where all the top OG Players get super active and throw everything they have in their arsenal in the battle to claim victories, so unless you have a badass collection of cards and a brain loaded with unbeatable strategies, you may want to finish your job as quickly as possible. Anyway, all the best, my fellow warriors and I hope you accomplish your mission sooner this time.

Now talking about myself, I am, as usual, playing the Frontier mode with the same energy and after playing this new gameplay mode for a while, I can say that this mode has succeeded in captivating me back into splinterlands deeply, so that I just can’t spend a day without playing the Frontier mode. For those who don’t know about this mode, the Frontier is the latest gameplay mode in splinterlands, which is a completely free-to-play mode, but rewards you with cards and packs that really hold monetary value and can be exchanged for crypto tokens. Not only old existing players, but many new players are also showing interest in this mode, because there is literally no entry barrier, nor any need to own or invest any money in order to start playing this mode. Anyway, for me, right now, I am playing in the highest Gold I league tier in this mode with a trophy count of 3,100. With another 4 days in hand, right now my aim is to reach at least 3,600 trophies from here and also complete as many daily missions as I can and win those lucrative foundation packs. On the other hand, the last frontier raffle also happened just recently and in spite of entering this last raffle with 54 entries, as usual, I didn't win anything from the lottery. But anyways, my current goal is to build a max-level foundation card collection and I am really close and need only a bunch more cards, so that fuels me even more to continue my journey. So, let's push and shove and see how much more time it takes for me to complete my collection.

Moving forward, let me now come to the main topic of this post, as today, I am about to discuss about another awesome Conclave Arcana monster with you all. As you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today we will be talking about the Gonach Excavator. So, if you are interested in knowing more about this card, then let’s take a dive without any further ado.
The Gonach Excavator is a monster type card, which was first seen in splinterlands with the launch of the latest Conclave Arcana edition core card set. This monster belongs to the Death element and comes from the Rodentian bloodline. By rarity, it is a common type card, so you would need a total of 400 CC cards in order to upgrade this card to its max level. This monster only requires 3 mana to be used in battles, so you can easily fit this card in your lineup when playing low to medium mana limit matches, or the ones with Little League ruleset. The attack type of this card is melee and apart from a good attack power along with a very strong combo of armour and health at high speed, this card also features 2 abilities, which I am going to discuss later in this post. Let us now take a further look at this monster’s league-wise stats and abilities to find out more.

At level 3, this monster card possesses attractive stats of 3 melee attack power at 2 speed with 1 armour and 3 health. Not only that, but it also gets 2 abilities since its initial level - Sneak and Reckless. The best things about this card are that it gets both of its abilities since its first level, which is pretty insane, and while the Sneak makes this monster very powerful out of the box, the Reckless ability, on the other hand, can be tricky to use.

SNEAK - Targets the enemy unit in the last position.

RECKLESS - Each successful attack also deals 1 true damage to adjacent allied units.
When you upgrade this monster to level 5, its stats get a decent increment, as it now carries 3 melee attack power at 2 speed with 1 armour and 5 health. Though it does not get any new abilities at silver league, its increased health will help you endure more enemy attacks.
As this monster gets upgraded to level 8, it gets further enhanced stats of 3 melee attack power at 3 speed with 3 armour and 6 health. This monster did not get any new abilities at this level as well, but its increased speed, armour and health make it more powerful and defensive.
Finally, when you upgrade this monster to its max level of 10, it receives a further increment on its overall stats, as it now flaunts 4 melee attack power at 4 speed with 5 armour and 6 health. Sadly, even at its max level, it does not get any new abilities.
Last but not least, I think the Gonach is a very powerful monster, but with a catch. Sure, its stats are overpowered, and on top of it, its mana costs make it super usable, and its sneak ability enables it to take down rear enemy attackers. But, its Reckless ability can be tricky and damage its adjacent friendly monster after this monster hits a target. So, you have to use it strategically and always choose its adjacent monsters even more carefully. So I think it should be in your arsenal to tackle certain types of matches. What do you think?

I am so happy to see updates like these from veterans like @mango-juice @rentmoney and the rest.it gives me as a newbie ways to ease my preparation and strategy for the battles ahead in splinterlands.Kudos for updating once again @mango-juice
