Welcome back to another juicy and fresh Splinterlands post, and I guess you all are doing well in your lives and having a calm and blessed evening with your family and friends while waiting eagerly for the weekend to hit. Anyway, for those of you Splinterlands players who are actively and continuously grinding this cool card-based strategy game on Hive and trying to build and strengthen your card and assets collection, I think almost all of you are currently fighting hard in the ranked season arena and trying to squeeze out as many trophies as possible and reach higher league tiers before the season gets closer to its end. If we take a look at the ongoing ranked season timer, there are still around 5 days and 18 hours left before the reset happens. So there is still enough time in your hands left to push harder and complete our goal mission, and maybe even aim for the leaderboard if luck and battle energy stay on your side.

Now talking about my own progress in the foundation mode, I am currently playing in the Gold I league tier with a trophy count of around 3,980. My immediate target this ranked season is to cross the 4,200 trophy mark first and then try for the leaderboard as usual. Let's now see if things go smoothly from here.

On the other hand, if we take a look at the weekly Frontier raffle, I have currently collected a total of 48 entries. With around 1 day and 16 hours left before the raffle draw, I will try to push this number even higher and hopefully reach somewhere between 57 and 60 entries this time. My count is already looking better this time, so let’s see if luck finally smiles on me in the upcoming draw. I have also opened 5 foundation packs today that I have won from the last 2 daily missions. As you can see in the screenshots above, I got 1 legendary, 2 epics, 4 rares, including 2 archons, 2 gold foil commons and the rest regular foil common cards. Really happy to get so many good cards from this pool.

Now moving forward, let us come to the main topic of this post, as today I will be discussing another gigantic monster from the newest Escalation edition mini card set. As you have already seen in the title and thumbnail above, today I will be talking about the Forlorn Geomant. So if you are interested in learning more about this monster card, let us take a deeper dive without any further delay.
The Forlorn Geomant is a monster-type card that was introduced in the game with the newest Escalation edition mini card set. This monster belongs to the Earth element and it comes from the Djinn bloodline. By rarity, this card is a Common monster, so you will require a total of 400 CC cards in order to upgrade it to its maximum level. Now, if you want to use this monster in battles, you need to spend a gigantic 13 mana, which clearly makes it a card designed for very high mana limit matches, especially those around 45 mana or higher. Anyways, the attack type of this monster is Magic, and apart from its terrifyingly serious magic damage, this card also comes with a massive combination of armour and health, making it extremely hard to bring down. At its maximum level, this monster gains two abilities that make it even more dangerous, especially against flying monsters. Let us now take a closer look at its league-wise stats and abilities below to know more about this card.

At level 3, this monster already enters the battlefield with monstrous stats that consist of 5 magic attack power at 2 speed with 3 armor and 7 health. Even at this early level, the raw magic damage itself is enough to destroy low and medium health enemy monsters very quickly.
When you upgrade this monster further to level 5, its stats improve and it now carries 5 magic attack power at 3 speed with 3 armor and 8 health. At this level, it also gains an ability called Impede. This ability makes enemy monsters slower and easier to outspeed in the following rounds.

IMPEDE – Reduces the target’s speed by 1 after each successful attack.
As this monster gets upgraded further and reaches level 8, its stats improve once again and it now holds 5 magic attack power at 3 speed with 4 armor and 10 health. Even though it does not gain a new ability at this level, the increased armor and health make it even more difficult to eliminate.
Finally, when you upgrade this monster to its maximum level of 10, its stats improve further and it now possesses 5 magic attack power at 3 speed with 5 armor and 10 health. At this level, it also gains another terrifying ability called Wingbreak. This ability turns the monster into an absolute nightmare for flying enemy cards.

WINGBREAK – Always targets the first flying enemy unit regardless of position, abilities, or modifiers, and deals +2 damage if the target has Flying.
Last but not least, I think this monster is an absolute powerhouse designed for high mana limit battles. First of all, it comes with an enormous 13 mana cost, which already tells you how gigantic this card really is. At maximum level, it gains a huge combination of 5 armor and 10 health, enough to survive multiple heavy attacks of almost any kind. Another major advantage is its terrifying magic attack. At max level, this monster throws 5 magic damage directly toward enemy health, which can easily melt low or medium health cards in a single hit. Even high-health monsters will struggle if this card is paired with other strong magic attackers. The Impede ability is also quite useful because every successful attack reduces the target’s speed by 1, making enemy monsters slower and more vulnerable in future rounds. Finally comes the Wingbreak ability, and experienced players already know how dangerous this one can be. This monster is basically built to hunt flying units. It directly targets the first enemy monster with Flying regardless of its position and even deals +2 extra damage against them. So any unlucky flying monster standing on the battlefield becomes a priority target instantly. Overall, I think the Forlorn Geomant is a gigantic anti-flying magic beast with brutal attack power, massive defense, and abilities that can completely dominate certain battles. What do you think?

Nice work in Frontier, and you got a legendary pull. I haven't gotten one of those in ages now! I'm hoping to pull something in this coming drawing on Monday, it's been a long time since I won anything!
Forlorn Geomant is a cool card, although I haven't used it yet. I'm going to have to rent one and see how I like it in my play style. I don't use the green team as much as I used to, maybe that will make a difference. It has great magic attack and abilities, just a huge mana tag unfortunately.
Awesome post!

The Forlorn Geomant looks quite amazing and that magic attack I am sure does some great damage.
