Splinterlands | Finally Entered the Frontier Leaderboard
Hello Splinterlands fam!
Welcome to another splinterlands post and I guess all of you are doing pretty well in your lives and enjoying an amazing day with your loved ones. Now, those of you who play this game actively and on a daily basis, I hope you are fighting hard in the battle arena right now. If we take a look at the current ranked season’s clock, only 2 days and 19 hours left for this ongoing season to meet its end. It seems we are already too close to the season end and I hope all of you have already finished your season goals or are really close to them. But with only less than 3 days left in hand, the season end bloodbath has already started and for those of you who are yet to reach their goals, whether it is to enter a particular league tier or to secure a seat in the top champion league leaderboard, try to put all of your strength and card collection into the arena, because every win counts. But for those pro players who have already done their job and are enjoying the scene from afar, I guess you guys have already started recharging your battle energy bar, or to play during the last hours for some more juice and thrill. Anyways, I wish you all the best and hope you all finish your goals on time.
On the other hand, the Frontier mode is also going well and as I expected, this new gameplay mode is attracting more and more players from both within and beyond the hive ecosystem. The free-to-play feature of this gameplay mode is really working like magic and as a cherry on top, the rewards that you earn from playing the frontier mode in the form of foundation cards or packs, which can be sold in the market for DEC crypto token. This new mode gives you the real thrilling feel of playing this game without making any type of investment. So, that’s why it's quietly becoming everyone’s favourite web3 game. Anyways, for me, I am, as usual, playing in the highest Gold I league tier, with a current trophy count of 4,140. And yes, you saw that trophy count right and also yes, it sent my name up into the Frontier top gold leaderboard. I have also finished playing all 3 daily missions today and have collected the rewards - 3 foundation packs and 9 entries.
First, let’s talk about my recent big achievement in the game, as I have finally entered the frontier leaderboard after months of relentless attempts. Since the beginning, I always had this wish to be in the top leaderboard in the frontier mode and that wish is finally coming true. This is my first time touching the frontier leaderboard, of course, and I really hope I am able to hold my position until the frontier season ends. My current trophy count is 4,140, which is my highest trophy count earned in Frontier till now. If we take a look at the frontier current season’s leaderboard, I am fighting at the 35th place right now and if I successfully hold this spot until the season end, I will be rewarded with 3 packs and 5 raffle entries, which is a good season bonus on top of my daily rewards.
Now, I think claiming and holding a rank in the frontier leaderboard is even harder than the other ranked formats, because here, almost all the players that you will be playing against will have a full foundation collection. So, there’s no point in getting a weak opponent whose card collection would be incomplete and inferior to your expensive card arsenal. Another thing that makes it even harder is the limited no of choices when playing a match, due to low card availability in frontier mode and together, both of these causes make this mode even harder to compete. But I was preparing for it for a long time and the first thing I decided to act upon was to upgrade my cards and make a complete foundation edition card collection. Gladly, though I have still a handful of epic cards yet to be upgraded, all the rest of the cards are max levels and no doubt, they all are helping me tremendously on the battlefield and thus, I am scoring more wins now. If you take a look at the leaderboard, your current win rate is 54.22% and though that’s not a number worth showing off, winning 167 matches and 10 draws out of 308 matches is not easy work, especially when I am only beginning to fight against the frontier OGs. But, I am hopeful and even if I fail to protect my spot this season, I will at least be visiting the leaderboard every season now.
