I hope all of you are enjoying this beautiful day with your family and friends and for those who play splinterlands, I guess you guys are doing well on the battlefield and participating in all 3 different types of gameplays in the game - Ranked, Tourney and Brawl. If you used to play in the wild season, then most probably by now you have noticed the new change in the wild section as now, players need to buy a season pass in order to play and earn tokens from wild and I liked this update cause it costs only a little but this amount will be helping the splinterlands economy. Now taking a look at the season timer, we have less than 9 days in hand before this i going ranked season end and I hope all of you are working on your season goals because we have reached almost the halfway of this season. So whether you want to reach a certain league or Tier or compete in the champ leaderboard and earn more rewards, I suggest starting pushing from now on because the time will fly away soon.
Now, going forward to the main topic of this post, today I will be talking about a soul-bound Reward card that is a big giant and only seen in big mana limit matches and whenever it gets chosen, It only brings more bloodbath into the battlefield. As you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today I will be discussing Drybone Raider, so without further ado, let us jump right in!
DRYBONE RAIDER is a soul-bound type card that comes under the Chaos Legion reward edition cardset and this card belongs to the Neutral element. This monster costs a whooping 12 mana to be used in battles so you can fit this card easily in medium to large mana limit matches. It is a legendary type card that needs a total of 11 BCX of cards to be upgraded to max level and this card holds dual attack type and carries both Melee and Ranged attacks within him. Let us now take a deeper look into this card’s stats and abilities league wise below.
BRONZE
At level 1, this card receives 2 melee attack and 1 ranged attack at 2 speed with 3 armour and 7 health and it also gets the Double Strike ability since the initial level. With the help of this ability, it will attack 2 times back to back every round and in each of his 2 attack, he will attack with both his melee and range attacks. So there’s a total of 4 attacks that it can do max at every level if rightly used.
SILVER
When you upgrade this card to level 2, then it possesses 2 melee attack and an increased 2 ranged attack at 2 speed with 3 armour and 7 health and also gets another new ability called Shatter. With the help of this new ability, whenever it successfully attacks an enemy card, it takes away all the armour from him.
GOLD
Upon reaching the 3rd level, it gets 2 melee and 2 ranged attacks at 2 speed with 3 armour and an increased 8 health and it also receives a new ability at this level called Cripple. With this ability, whenever and each time this monster attacks an enemy card, it reduces 1 max health from that monster.
DIAMOND / CHAMPION
Finally, when this monster reaches its max level of 4, it possesses an increased 3 melee and 2 ranged attack at 2 speed with 3 armour and 8 health along with those 3 abilities that I mentioned above.
This time I received a high 53 mana limit match where 4 elements were available to choose from - Fire, Earth, Death and Dragon. There was only 1 ruleset applied in this match - Opportunity so melee monsters can attack from any position in this match and will target the lowest heath enemy Monster. So, I decided to build my lineup accordingly. As for my strategy, I decided to give my monsters more speed, So that they could attack faster than the enemy monsters and kill them First. Hence I built my lineup accordingly. I chose the Legendary fire card Conqueror Jacek as my summoner and at my front, I chose Arkemis the Bear followed by Antoid Platoon, Mantaroth, Scavo Chemist, Drybone Raider and Supply Runner at the end position.
When both the lineups got revealed, I found out that my opponent had chosen the dragon card Quix the Devious as his summoner card and at his front, he chose the Chaos Agent as his front defense followed by Grund, Carnage Titan, Chaos Dragon, Queen Mycelia and Mycelic Slipspawn at the last position of his lineup.
When the battle Begins. Instead of attacking his taunt monster Slipspawn, my monsters started attacking random monsters because of Scattershot ability from the Jacek summoner. My Drybone did all his 4 attacks successfully and also took down the heavily shielded armour from the Titan followed by the back to back attacks from my Mantaroth and Antoid as both of them killed the enemy Slipspawn together. Next, my Antoid consumed all the attacks from enemy Titan and Grund and still stayed alive but then the enemy Mycelia attacked and finally killed it down.
In the second round, though my supply runner missed its attack, my Bear then successfully killed Down the Chaos Agent. My Drybone attacked next and wounded Grund and Titan and also killed down the Queen finally. Then my Mantaroth attacked and wounded them all even more. In the third round, my Drybone killed down both the Grund and then Titan back to back and proved its worth once more. The only Monster alive on the enemy side was the poor Chaos Dragon which also got taken care of and finally, I won another great match and won some SPS and Glint tokens.
