Hello Splinterlands warriors and welcome back to my blog!

I had another fight with Eagle Libre in the Frontier. He is the level three boss in Pit Challenge in the wheel. Winning against him will earn 1,000 Spark tokens. He's the hardest boss in the pit but I was confident because maxed level Arena Vanguards can join the battle.

Eagle Libre is very strong. He deals eight melee damage, has three speed, thick twelve armor and hefty ninety health! On top of that, he has the Phase and Repair ability.

In my mind, the best combination of units was Jolius Blast, Buns the Unseen and Eris Bimblenok so I used the Fire team.

My reason for this combo is sound. Jolius Blast is the best one on one unit because of his combination of stats and abilities. He deals three melee damage and has three speed. With his Enrage, archon and Eris Bimblenok's buffs, his melee attack could reach six while his speed is also six. He has Retaliate that could counter attack Eagle Libre. Also, his speed means he could dodge attacks. The other units are there to help him take down Eagle Libre's enormous health but if Jolius goes down, then the fight is over.

I didn't consider Eagle Libre's annoying Repair ability that protected his health. It blocked physical attacks and kept sustaining himself in the battle. His eight attack also meant it only took two hits for Jolius to go down. I lost the battle badly.

Replay the Battle

In hindsight, maybe I should have used Water magic team instead. I was worried about his Phase ability but he only had three speed so maybe it will not proc as much. It's water under the bridge now. I'll have to get back at him once I got the pit challenge from the wheel again!
