Hello Splinterlands warriors and welcome back to my blog!

Splinterlands team just announced a new card set in the Frontier.

This new Foundation collection introduces 36 unique cards: 30 Units and 6 Rare Archons, five collectible foil types, three exclusive pack options, and a reward system that puts Frontier Ranked battles and special tournaments at the center of the chase.

I posted my overview of Fire and Water splinters previously. Now, it's the Earth splinter.

Kennepsis (archon)

Kennepsis is the four mana archon that does not give any buffs. The new archons cost lower in mana than the original Frontier archons but they do not grant any buffs to units.

High Matriarch Zura (common)

High Matriarch Zura is the common card. Like the previous splinters, it's a three mana none attack card but it's role is a low mana tank or squeeze card. At maxed level, it has five health and two speed and has Deflect ability at maxed level.

Jax Nigel (rare)

Jax Nigel is a four mana card. I'm not sure as to his role. He's too weak to be a tank but he's a melee card with two attack and cannot hit from afar. He only has three health and no armor making him a poor tank. He has Cripple ability at maxed level. To be honest, not a card I'd like.

Gideon (epic)

Gideon is a decent card that has Thorns ability at level one. It gains attack at each level finally topping to three melee. With six health, it can be a viable tank in some battles.

Ronrick Traceur (legendary)

Ronrick Traceur is a cute panda. At maxed level it deals two range damage and has four speed. On defense it has an armor and four health. It's role is a back line damage dealer with Poison ability. It's other ability is Focus Guard, granting an attack buff to range unit behind it. There are a lot of units that can benefit from this card although I'm a bit underwhelmed by it as a legendary.

There you have it. The five cards under the Earth splinter that will add excitement in the Frontier as well as other modes. In my next post, I'll go over the Life splinter.
