Hello Splinterlands warriors and welcome back to my blog!
Skyspire Leopard is a rare unit from the Rebellion soulbound reward set. It is a melee fighter that works best as a low mana tank, especially in battles where its defensive abilities and counterattacks can shine. In today's post, we'll go over its lore, stats and abilities as well as show a battle where he plays a key role.
From the Splinterlands lore:
Unlike most types of leopards, those of the Skyspire Mountains hunt in packs. They stalk their prey for hours, concealed upon the snow-laden slopes by their coats, and wait for the perfect moment to strike. When they do, they attack with savage, coordinated precision.
If you spot one, common sense dictates you should keep your eyes on it. But there’s likely a reason it revealed itself: the others are behind you, and they’re moving in for the kill.

The Skyspire Leopard is a five mana card making it a good choice to play in low mana battles. At maxed levels it deals five melee damage but somewhat slow with only two speed stats. It has four armor and seven health on defense. What makes it great as a tank is its two abilities Retaliate that counterattacks against physical attacks and Void Armor that helps it defend against magic attacks.
For Silver level players, it's best to have it at level four where it already has its two abilities.

The battle is not that low mana wise but it included Odd Ones. I decided to use the Skyspire Leopard as a tank because of its defensive abilities and to give room to my higher mana units like the Ulundin Overseer. The build of my team has three tanks while the damage dealers are all magic including my newly acquired Nessa.
The enemy chose Fire with armor buff from the archon. However, this is somewhat ineffective given that my damage dealers were magic.
