Saltwraith Pirate: Low Mana Tank with Bloodline Tribute

Saltwraith Pirate is an epic unit from the Conclave Arcana rewards. It belongs to the Rodentian bloodline and serves aboard the Saltwraith, one of the pirate ships commanded by Captain Frankie. Captain Frankie and his crew are members of the Pieces of Eight, a massive pirate armada of nearly 700 ships that was hired by the Conclave Arcana to search for the Secret of Praetoria.
Saltwraith Pirate is a key Rodentian unit because it possesses Bloodline Tribute. When it is defeated, every allied Rodentian gains bonuses to Health, Speed, Armor and any shared attack type, Melee. This makes it an excellent sacrificial front line unit in Captain Frankie teams, where its death can significantly strengthen the rest of the Rodentian crew. I use the same strategy but I don't have Captain Frankie so I use him in my Death team instead.

The Saltwraith Pirate is one of the loyal members of Captain Frankie's crew aboard the Saltwraith. The ship is part of the legendary Pieces of Eight pirate fleet, whose captains accepted contracts from the Conclave Arcana to chart dangerous coastlines and aid in the search for Praetoria's hidden secret.

Featured Battle
The battle had an Up Close & Personal ruleset with only twenty eight mana cap. My strategy is to have the Saltwraith Pirate in the tank position to use him as a sacrifice and trigger his Bloodline Tribute ability. It will empower Rodentians in my team. In this battle, I had two Rodentians, Broken Earth Thug and Gonach Excavator. Both are also melee units that will increase their attack and other stats when Saltwraith Pirate gets defeated. It's an effective strategy especially in this very limiting ruleset.
Having the Saltwraith Pirate on Up Close & Personal ruleset with low mana is a proven strategy and I use it from time to time like in this other battle.
I only had one Rodentian in the team but you can appreciate the increase in his stats and how he will contribute to damage dealing.
