My Guild Brawl Update: We Are the Champions!

Hello Splinterlands warriors and welcome back to my blog!

Our guild has just finished brawl. It has been a long time since we finished in rank one but we did this time. We have been in the lower standings for most of the time that I forgot how it felt to be in first place. It's a great effort by our guild and we showed that we have what it takes to win.

Guild Rank and Personal Performance

We finished in rank one which is a huge improvement from our previous rankings. It's a proud moment for our guild and I hope we can keep this level of performance.

Although we ranked first as a guild, my own performance is not that great. I won six battles out of nine. Each of us who joined the brawl took 6.8k merits and 104 SPS. It's a huge chunk of my weekly SPS earnings so I make it a point to join brawls and have a good performance.

Featured Battle

The battle had the Little League ruleset. I chose Earth out of instinct because this the splinter that I often play. Looking back, maybe I should have picked Dragon or Death instead. I have a lot of good low mana cards in both splinters. Anyway, my team was composed of the following cards.

Halfling Refugee

One mana Halfling Refugee was my tank. He is a good one mana tank dealing two melee damage, six health and three speed.

Ironwing Juggernaut

Ironwing Juggernaut is almost similar to Halfling Refugee. They are both low mana neutral melee units that can play tank. The Ironwing Juggernaut has a Charge ability allowing him to strike with melee from any position.

Halaran Huntress

Halaran Huntress is a four mana card that also has Charge ability. She has Flying ability that increase her chances to Dodge.

Bertrol Gobson

Bertrol Gobson is my gladiator card. He is only two mana but deals two melee damage. He also has the Opportunity ability to hunt the enemy's low health units.

Thunderhoof Nomad

Thunderhoof Nomad only cost three mana so she was one of my chosen support cards in this thirty seven mana battle. She deals low damage but adds one health to my team.

Ujurak Elder

Another low mana support card was Ujurak Elder. Similar to Thunderhoof Nomad, she only deals one magic damage but provides one health buff to allies.

The enemy had a combination of Death and Water because he has a dual splinter archon. The enemy was winning in the early stages but my gladiator was doing the kills and triggering his bloodlust ability. He soon raised his melee attack to five and raised his health to nine. He almost single handedly won the battle.
