My Battles with Buns the Unseen

Hello Splinterlands warriors and welcome back to my blog!

Buns the Unseen is changing the landscape in the Frontier. He is a neutral unit which means he can be used by all splinters. He is, in my opinion, the best off tank or reserve tank in the Frontier especially against magic teams. In some cases, I've seen him used as the main tank because of his high armor stats and Void Armor ability that's efffective against magic teams. In today's post, I'll show how I used Buns the Unseen in a couple of my battles.

Water Team

The battle penalized the use of magic with the Counterspell ruleset. Water and Dragon are the only available splinters so the enemy and I both used Water. I had the Port Guardian in front and behind him was Buns the Unseen who boasts of high defensive stats. Next are two units with Opportunity ability Vengeful Monk and Aimee Whisperwind. In fifth is another huge damage dealer A'lan Musketeer who has Double Strike ability. Lastly, I had New Beluroc Aegis to draw attacks with his Taunt ability.

The enemy had a weird positioning strategy which contributed to his loss. He should have put the Port Guardian in front and Kanaaq Miner somewhere in the middle. The change in positions will not change his fate however. My units are superior overall especially with Buns the Unseen in my line up.

Life Team

The next battle had an Earthquake ruleset and only the Life splinter available. Again, Buns the Unseen took second position behind my main tank. His high armor stats helps him survive the earthquake damage each round while he also helps do damage from second position. My next three units were magic damage dealers so that their attacks go through armor. Included in the team was Celestial Guardian who has flying ability that makes him immune from earthquake damage. Lastly, I had New Beluroc Aegis to draw attacks.

The enemy used a different approach and had only one magic unit in the team. He also didn't have any flying unit that put him at a disadvantage. My team had the better synergy and attacks that went through armor. I also had a flying unit that was immune to earthquake. Lastly, I had a strong dual tank combo.
