Khan Feywest: The Earth Team's Magic Damage Dealer in the Frontier

Hello Splinterlands warriors and welcome back to my blog!

Khan Feywest is the Earth splinter rare unit from the Arena Vanguard set. My previous posts were about the Fire and Neutral splinters. Khan is a Fey bloodline and was inspired by the Splinterlands community creator @ehmaywuntee. The Arena Vanguard cards are community driven cards designed around streamers, creators and notable members of the Splinterlands community. In today's post, we'll go over Khan's lore, his stats & abilities as well as show a battle where he was used effectively.

Lore

Khan Feywest is a unique Fey creature with the upper body of a chimpanzee and the powerful hindquarters of a magical unicorn. Rather than relying on physical strength, he is a master sorcerer who uses an ancient crystal staff to unleash devastating blasts of Fey energy from afar. He shares a sacred lineage with the legendary Kron the Undying, giving him remarkable resilience and the ability to withstand powerful attacks. His pearlescent coat can glow with a protective aura, making Khan not only a formidable mage but also a living bastion of the Fey bloodline.

Stats and Abilities

Khan starts with an already strong three magic attack at level one. At maxed level, he adds to his speed and health as well as gain more abilities. His speed will bump to four while his health will max at nine. He has the Snipe ability, enabling him to target non melee units first. His Divine Shield ability allows him to be immune to first damage once, giving him a clutch ability in close battles. Finally, he gains slow at maxed level, that decrease the enemy team's speed by one. He is similar to the legendary Mystic Scaleweaver but with more abilities and more health.

Featured Battle

In this battle, player Laharl had Khan Feywest in his team. His team is composed of strong damage dealers and a Taunt unit, New Beluroc Aegis. His enemy also had the Earth team but had the usual Earth line up that I also use in my battles. Laharl's team had more damage while his enemy's team was built for survival. This is because the ruleset included Collateral Damage. I would employ a similar strategy as his enemy's but in this battle, the side that dealt more damage came out victorious.

Nice write-up! Khan Feywest looks like a really useful magic damage dealer, specially with Snipe and Divine Shield. I also liked the battle example—it showed nicely how the extra damage can make a big difference. ☺️
