Halfling Refugee: The Low Mana Tank

Hello Splinterlands warriors and welcome back to my blog!

The Halfling Refugee is an epic neutral unit from the Rebellion reward set. He's a low mana card that is a reliable tank. In today's post, we'll go over his lore, his stats and abilities, as well as show a battle where he was used effectively.

Lore

The halfling refugees travel to Fireboro, in the Great Lowlands where the former chancellor of the republic and his allies have established safe havens for displaced people. These shelters offer refugees a place to stay and an opportunity to rebuild their lives. Despite losing their homes, the halflings remain defiant against the Chaos Empire.

Stats and Abilities

For a measly one mana cost, the Halfling Refugee has a lot to offer. At maxed level, he deals five melee damage, has three speed and eight health making him a good tank. He can also self heal. The only downside is he has a debilitation, Weary.

For Silver level players, it would be good to have him at level three where he gains the Heal ability.

Featured Battle

In this battle, my Halfling Refugee served as a tank to absorb damage while my magic damage dealers do their job. Because I had a low mana tank, it allowed me to field my choice of the best magic damage dealers in the battle with a mana cap of thirty one.

Final Thoughts

The Halfling Refugee is a useful low mana option for filling an extra team slot, absorbing damage or serving as a budget tank in low mana battles. He is a "must have" card if you want to win battles.
