Advancing to Division 4 in Silver Bracket!
Hello Splinterlands warriors and welcome back to my blog!
The battles rage on in the Modern brackets system. I just unlocked Division Four in Silver. It's a difficult climb and the competition is tough but we have to keep going on and earn glints. The glints rewards have substantially increased thus allowing me to buy more reward chests.
Anyway, here are the rewards I received for reaching division four.
Five thousand glints and a rare card. It's these rewards that motivate me to keep grinding and reach the next division. By the end of the season, I can afford to buy more legendary chests and hopefully get the legendary cards I'm chasing.
Featured Battle
The battle ruleset included Explosive Weaponry, giving the Blast ability to all units. In this battle, my star card was Commander Slade.
Commander Slade from the Rebellion set was once my favorite tank. He has great offensive and defensive stats and abilities. His only weakness is his lack of defense against magic attack but overall, he's a great tank for a rare card. One of his abilities is Deflect which gives him immunity from Thorns and in this case, Blast.
In the tank position was Doomshield Warden. He has a Flank ability that grants Reach to the second position unit. He's an ideal partner to Commander Slade if you want to put Slade in second position. In this battle, this position was also important since Slade will be immune to blast damage.
The rest of my team were composed of magic damage dealers.
The enemy almost had the same team and even had a higher level Doomshield Warden than mine. The difference was our second position cards. He had the newer Blue Wyrm Travesty in second position. Although it had the higher damage, it doesn't have immunity to blast and got his health decreased. My tank got defeated first but soon my team was able to catch up and decimated the enemy.
