In the previous post, we analyzed which “Game Mode” in Splinterlands is the best for making money. With this goal in mind, we looked at all the reward “POOLS” for the main game modes to gather all this information, and then discussed the costs and/or penalties associated with each one—because while some may offer the same amount of rewards as others, but there are many associated costs that ultimately reduce the potential profit we could earn—and we saw this in the first post I shared a couple of days ago, where we also reached a clear conclusion after that analysis: the “King” of all these game modes is the “Modern Format.”
That’s why, in this post, I’ll explain why the “Modern Format” is the best option for making money in the game—and here’s why: considering its barrier to entry, the effort required to play in it, the associated costs, the arrival of the “New BRACKETS,” and other details that will help you understand why “Modern” is currently the best option of all when it comes to playing in the qualifiers. While there are other very active nodes where you can earn a lot—and I actually mentioned one recently on my profile—today I’ll focus on the “Modern Format.”
So, if you want to know why the “Modern Format” is the best of all for generating significant profits in the game, you’ll need to read to the end. However, if you missed the first part of the analysis, don’t worry—I’ll include the first part below so you can catch up before continuing with this one:
Why is the Modern Format the most PROFITABLE and FAIR game mode?
Well, as I mentioned earlier, after analyzing the effort involved, the barrier to entry, the fixed costs, and the profitability of the different formats—and, of course, the “Modern Format” itself—the format that’s most worthwhile for the vast majority of players is precisely “Modern.” But don’t worry—I don’t intend to leave you without a concrete answer. In fact, that’s what this section is for. So here, you’ll learn the reasons why the “Modern Format” is considered the best option for making money in the game:
Reasons Why Modern Is More Profitable
Zero Seasonal Entry Fee: This is pretty clear: there’s no entry fee to play here, and there’s no “Pass” like in “Wild” mode required to access rewards. So, in that sense, it’s 100% free to play here, and that should be the case in all modes—including “Wild” mode—or at a lower cost depending on the player and their achievements.
Human Environment: Something that all of us competitive players value is the fact that bots aren’t allowed in this mode, so the players you face in “Modern Format” are 100% human, which gives us real battles driven entirely by combinations and strategies devised in the heat of the moment. There’s nothing better than that, without a doubt, and in a way, it adds more complexity to the mode.
The BRACKETS System Leveled the Playing Field: One thing that has completely changed with the introduction of BRACKETS is how players are matched up. Before, if your rating and league level went up, the system would pit you against players with max-level cards, even though those players were, for example, only ready for a SILVER BRACKET at most. But now it’s different—you can choose the level of the cards you want to use and play under the same conditions as your opponents.
NOTE: Of course, even though playing in the “Modern Format” is completely FREE, there are still costs involved—which is obvious because you need cards to play; without cards, you can’t do anything. However, perhaps in another post I could provide clearer math and/or calculations regarding these costs, presenting various investment profiles for “Modern” so you can get a rough idea of how much is needed and what kind of rewards you can expect.
The EASIEST and Most Affordable Way to Start Making Money
Well, the next thing you need to know is how to get into the Modern format as affordably as possible, while also trying not to risk your capital recklessly and minimizing risk as much as possible in the process. The best step-by-step strategy I can recommend is the one I want you to consider, because the reality is that there are many ways to get into the game; in fact, there are more strategies you can apply to optimize your play, but, with newer players with limited capital in mind, the strategy I’d recommend for this type of player is as follows:
Strategy
Start in Modern in BRACKET 1 or 2: If you want to get off on the right foot and also test the waters by observing your opponents and seeing what they’re capable of, my recommendation is to start in the first two BRACKETS before jumping into higher-level competitions like “Gold” and “Diamond.” Plus, it’s easier to obtain the required cards at these levels.
Use Specific Rentals on Peakmonsters: To compete at an optimal level, you don’t need to have hundreds of cards in your account; rather, you need cards that synergize with each other to boost attack, defense, and even Support. This is achieved by analyzing each card—not by simply renting them all, thinking that the more you have, the better you’ll do on the battlefield.
Secure a Base SPS Through Staking: The first thing I recommend is having your own 1,000 or 2,000 SPS—not rented ones. While this won’t unlock 100% of your rewards in terms of your multiplier, it does help you passively generate more SPS and even VOUCHERS, which you can use to gain far more resources, making it more cost-effective to compete season after season.
Combine Modern with a Guild: I’ve always recommended that, if you’re going to dedicate yourself to playing, you should join a guild in the game. This will unlock bonuses and cards—such as those from the GLADIUS SET—that can help you progress in the game.
Final Thoughts
This has made it abundantly clear that the “Modern Format” is the best way to make money in the game. However, as I mentioned in previous posts—or in the first part of the post immediately preceding this one—there are many ways to make money in the game, each suited to the preferences of different players. That’s why there isn’t just one “right” way to do things; however, this one in particular is geared toward new players in the more traditional game modes, so the best of them all is the “Modern” mode.

En el post anterior analizamos que “Modo de Juego” en Splinterlands es el mejor para ganar dinero, con este objetivo, observamos todos los “POZOS” de recompensas de los principales modos de juego para dar con toda esta información, para luego comentar cuales son los gastos y/o penalizaciones en cada uno de ellos, ya que si, algunos pueden dar la misma cantidad de recompensas que otros, pero existen muchos gastos asociados que al final disminuyen la ganancia potencial que podríamos obtener y eso lo terminamos viendo en el primer post que compartí hace un par de días, donde ademas llegamos a una clara conclusión después de dicho análisis y el “Rey” de todos estos modos de juego es el “Formato Moderno”.
Es por eso que, en este post, lo que hare será comentar el porque el “Formato Moderno” es la mejor opción para lograr ganar dinero en el juego, porque esto es así, viendo su barrera de entrada, el esfuerzo que implica lograr jugar en él, los costos asociados, la llegada de los “Nuevos BRACKETS”, entre otros detalles que los ayudaran a comprender porque el “Moderno” es actualmente la mejor opción de todas cuando se trata de jugar en el clasificatorio, porque, si hay otros nodos también muy activos en donde se puede generar mucho y de hecho hable de uno hace poco en mi perfil, pero, hoy me enfocare en el “Formato Moderno”.
Así que, si quieres saber porque el “Formato Moderno” es el mejor de todos para generar importantes ganancias en el juego, tienen que leer hasta el final, aunque, si se perdieron la primera parte del análisis, tranquilos a continuación les dejare la primera parte con el objetivo que se pongan al corriente antes de continuar con este:
¿Por qué el Formato Moderno es el modo de juego más RENTABLE y JUSTO?
Bien, como ya comenté, analizando el esfuerzo, la barrera de entrada, los costos fijos y rentabilidad de los distintos modos y por supuesto del propio “Formato Moderno”, el modo de juego que mas vale la pena para la inmensa mayoría de jugadores, es precisamente el “Moderno”. Pero tranquilos que no pretendo dejarlos sin la respuesta concreta de hecho, para eso es esta sección, por lo que, aquí sabrán las razones por las que el “Formato Moderno” es considerada la mejor opción para ganar dinero en el juego:
Razones por las que Moderno es mas Rentable
Cero Costo de Entrada por Temporada: Esto es bastante claro, aquí no hay ningún costo de entrada para jugar, no existe ningún “Pase” como en “Salvaje” para acceder a las recompensas, por lo que en este sentido es 100% gratuito jugar aquí y ese debería ser el caso en todos los modos incluyendo el “Salvaje” o con una relación de costo menor dependiendo del jugador y sus logros.
Entorno Humano: Algo que todos como jugadores competitivos valoramos es el hecho de que no se permiten BOTS en este modo, por lo que, los jugadores a los que te enfrentes en el “Formato Moderno” son 100% humanos, lo que nos da batallas reales manejadas 100% por combinaciones y estrategias pensadas en el instante de la batalla. Nada mejor que eso, sin duda y que de cierta maneta le otorga más complejidad al modo.
El Sistema de BRACKETS Nivelo el Terreno: Algo que cambio completamente con la llegada de los BRACKETS es el emparejamiento de los jugadores, porque antes si subías de rating y liga el sistema de enfrentaba contra jugadores con cartas en nivel máximo, mientras que estos jugadores estaban preparados por ejemplo máximo para un BRACKET de PLATA, pero ahora es diferente, puedes elegir el nivel de las cartas que puedes utilizar y jugar en las mismas condiciones que tú tienes.
NOTA: Por supuesto a pesar de que es completamente GRATIS jugar en el “Formato Moderno”, si que tiene costos y esto es obvio porque necesitas cartas para jugar, sin cartas no puedes hacer nada, pero, quizás en otra publicación podría traer las matemáticas y/o cálculos mas claros sobre estos, trayendo varios perfiles de inversión en el “Moderno” para que entiendan mas o menos cuanto se necesita y que tipo de recompensas puedes obtener.
El Camino más FACIL y Económico para empezar a ganar Dinero
Bien, lo siguiente hay que saber es como entrar de la forma más económica posible en el Formato Moderno ademas de tratar de no arriesgar el capital a la ligera y con el menor riesgo posible en el proceso, la estrategia más optima que les puedo recomendar paso a paso es la que quiero que tomen en cuenta, porque la realidad es que hay muchas formas de ingresar en el juego, de hecho hay mas estrategias que se pueden aplicar con el objetivo de optimizar, pero, pensando en los jugadores mas nuevos y con poco capital, la estrategia que recomendaría para este tipo de jugadores es la siguiente:

Empieza en Moderno dentro del BRACKET 1 o 2: Si quieres comenzar con el pie de hecho y ademas testear el terreno en el que estas jugando, viendo a tus oponentes, ver de que son capaces, mi recomendación es que entren en los 2 primeros BRACKETS, antes de saltar a las competiciones en los niveles mas altos, como “Oro y Diamante”, ademas de que es mas sencillos tener las cartas del nivel requerido en estos niveles.
Utiliza Alquileres específicos en Peakmonsters: Para competir en un nivel optimo no necesitas tener cientos de cartas en tu cuenta, más bien necesitas cartas que tengan sinergia entre ellas para potenciar ataque, defensa e incluso el Soporte y esto se logra analizando cada carta, no precisamente alquilándolas todas pensando que mientras mas tengas mejor te ira en el campo de batalla.
Asegura una Base de SPS en Staking: Lo primero que recomiendo es tener nuestros propios 1000 o 2000 SPS propios y no alquilados, si bien esto no desbloque nuestras recompensas al 100% hablando de nuestro multiplicador, sino que esto te ayuda a generar de forma pasiva mas SPS e incluso VOUCHERS que puedes usar para tener muchos mas recursos para que sea más económico luchar temporada tras temporada.
Combinar Moderno con un Gremio: Siempre he recomendado que, si se van a dedicar a jugar, la idea es unirse a un gremio en el juego, esto les desbloqueara bonificaciones y cartas como las del SET de GLADIUS que pueden ayudarte en tu progreso en el juego.
Consideraciones Finales
Con esto ha que dado mas que claro que el “Formato Moderno” es el más apto para ganar dinero en el juego, si bien como dije en post anteriores o en el anterior a este en su primera parte, existen muchas formas de ganar dinero en el juego, que se adaptan a los gustos de muchos jugadores, es por eso que no existe una forma correcta de hacer las cosas, sin embargo, esta en especial se enfoca en nuevos jugadores en los modos de juegos mas tradicionales, por lo que el mejor de todos es el “Moderno”.
