It’s been about 5 days since I talked about the most powerful card with a “Weakening” effect in the entire game—that card is “Calamity.” I ranked it in the “Top 2” because I’ve already shared the number one card in two previous posts. However, the power of “Calamity” is undeniable, but even so, it’s time to talk about the next most powerful card with a “Weakening” effect, and that card is “Sten Slatehelm.” It’s an extremely useful card on the battlefield and can be played in practically every scenario you can imagine in the game—though with obvious restrictions like Splinter, which is a given.
But later on, you’ll see why I say it can adapt to practically any scenario in the game—because it’s so versatile that it has virtually no limits. That’s why I’m ranking it third: the easier it is to use in any type of battle, the better the card is. It’s not that I prioritize brute force, because often that isn’t the answer—and that’s why many new players get frustrated thinking that’s the solution, when it isn’t.
But let’s move on to the explanation of the card and why I consider it one of the strongest among the cards with “WEAKENINGS”—which, for those who don’t know, are abilities that actually hinder the player’s combos, but with a trick, or rather a loophole that can be exploited. But read to the end so you’ll understand what I mean.

This time I won't explain what a WEAKENING is—in fact, I already gave a brief explanation of what it is in the introduction—but I hope you'll be able to understand it as I go over all the capabilities this card has to offer, because once you get to know it, you'll definitely want it in your decks. But I won't drag this out any longer; let's get to the explanation:
Original Edition: This card is from the “Arcane Conclave” edition of the Rewards Set, so not only can you get it on the market, but you can also obtain it from the “Rewards Store”—so collect GLINTS.
Splinter – Rarity – Cost: This card belongs to the Water Splinter; it’s a “Legendary” card with a mana cost of 2. This is the first key to its versatility—with just 2 mana, you can include it in practically any type of battle.
Base Stats: This card has +2 attack at its maximum level—remember that I always focus on this level—and it also has +3 speed, 5 shield, and 6 speed. It’s a pretty good card considering its mana cost, health, and all its other stats.

This is where we can always see a card’s potential; in fact, this is where you’ll be able to understand the potential of everything. But without further ado, let’s see why I’m telling you this:
Close Range: This ability is quite simple, since its effect is that cards with this type of “Range” attack can attack from the first position.
Reckless (Debuff): This is a debuff that causes all our allied cards to take -1 point of actual damage every time we land a successful attack. So, we’re literally inflicting damage on ourselves, but, of course, this is something that can be mitigated.
Armored Strike: This ability is one of the most powerful in the entire game; if the card has “Shield,” it gains an additional melee attack that deals damage equal to the remaining “Shield” value. In other words, if it has 5 shield points during that turn, that’s the attack it possesses. Of course, if the shield is reduced during the battle, the attack in its turn is weaker.
Resurgence: This card has the ability to “self-resurrect” once per battle. When this happens, it returns with 100% of its health and shield points—which is already insane— plus any magical debuffs it has—if any—are automatically removed, and of course it regains any magical buffs it had or that are applied to it. However, it skips that turn and deals +1 damage to all of the opponent’s units. Therefore, it’s one of the most broken abilities in the game.

This card’s mechanics will depend on the type of battle you’re facing. Basically, it can serve as a temporary “Tank”—that is, when your available mana is low—but if you have enough mana points, the way you use it changes. in which case it’s not a tank, but it can be the lineup’s surprise “offensive” card. So, it depends on the situation you’re facing, but it can adapt to any scenario.

That said, the synergies may also be different, but they stem from the WEAKNESSES he possesses; basically, it involves playing “Support” cards for the team, for example, with “Repair,” “Triage,” and “Tank Heal,” this card can significantly reduce the risk posed to your team by its WEAKNESS. That’s why, if you protect it—and even boost the speed of both your team and this card—the combination is quite solid.

So, that’s why this is the third-strongest card with “Weaknesses” in the game; it can really be useful in any kind of battle. However, its only weakness—if you can call it that—is that it’s only available for the Water element and the “Dwarf” bloodline, so in a way, we’re limited. But other than that, it’s able to adapt perfectly.
