How do “Rewards” from “Validator Nodes” work in Splinterlands? [EN-ES]

Last week I published a post about SPS “Validator Nodes” and the LICENSE token, explaining how to set one up in the simplest way possible, but if you haven’t seen it yet, don’t worry— at the end of this introduction, I’ll provide a direct link to that post so you can read it thoroughly before continuing with this one. You’ll need to understand the information from that post to follow along with this one, where I’ll focus solely on rewards and how to earn them. After all, once you set up and activate your validator node, you might wonder, “What else do I need to do, or is it just a matter of activating it?”
Well, I’ll explain all of that. Plus, if you’re new to the Hive network, this entire explanation about node rewards in Splinterlands and the SPS network will help you understand how rewards work on both networks, since they operate practically the same way, though there are slight differences due to the LICENSE token. All those details, along with the steps you need to take, will be covered in this post. But don’t worry—it’s nothing too complicated. It’s just information you’ll need to understand if you want to explore either method for earning rewards within the Splinterlands ecosystem.
So, if you want to know how it works, how rewards are distributed, and what to do once your node is up and running, you need to read this extremely simple post all the way through.
SPS Validator Node Reward System
Like all rewards in Splinterlands, these come from a “reward pool” where a certain amount of SPS is allocated each month to be distributed among everyone who helps secure the network—that is, everyone who has NODES. But that’s not all: the rewards are divided based on whether you hold a license—that is, the LICENSE token— and those validators who are voted for by SPS holders. However, to help you understand what’s most important, I’ll explain how the rewards—totaling 3,750,000 SPS per month—are ultimately distributed:
Rewards Division
Fund for License Holders (LICENSE 90% - 3,375,000 SPS/Month): What’s interesting here is that “License” holders receive 90% of this pool shared among all validators. This means it’s more profitable to have a large number of validators (LICENSES) working to secure the network; therefore, the more you have, the higher the percentage you’ll earn.
Fund for Validators Who Are Voted For (10% - 375,000 SPS/Month): The remaining 10% is distributed here, but it depends on how many votes you’ve received from the community. So, while it may seem like less, the reality is that this percentage is distributed among fewer users, since not everyone will receive votes from the community—this depends on how much you contribute to the Splinterlands community. Therefore, the more votes you receive, the higher you’ll climb in the rankings, and the more “Blocks” you’ll be able to validate on the network.
IMPORTANT: It’s not because they’re different funds that you can only earn from one; in fact, if you have LICENSES that are active validators, you can receive 90% of all SPS allocated for the month from the fund—depending on how many you have—but you also receive votes from SPS holders, so you can earn income from both “pools.” Therefore, it all depends on how much value you’re willing to contribute to the community.
Furthermore, transaction verification on the SPS network works the same way as on Hive; it is carried out through what is known as DPoS, or “Delegated Proof of Stake,” where the primary validators—those who verify blocks and receive the highest rewards for doing so—depend solely and exclusively on the community’s choice, that is, those who have SPS staked—just as happens in Hive with those who have HP.
Strategies for Maximizing Rewards
To maximize your rewards with Validators, there are no tricks and you don’t need to do anything unusual—I think that’s pretty clear here— however, for those who really want to do this but don’t have the time to play the game—and be playing and winning every day—you can earn income completely passively and get exposure to one of the best “Web3” games with years of track record. That’s why, if you want to generate passive income and invest but don’t have time to play, I’d say this is the best option out there, but let me explain again what you should do:
Scalability Through Multiple “LICENSES”
The strategy here is clear: the more LICENSE tokens you have in your account, the greater your rewards will be. However, you don’t need to have hundreds or thousands of them unless you can afford it, since as I’m writing this post, the price of a LICENSE token on “Hive Engine” is exactly 4,900 Hive, which is approximately $256.61. So, it’s not easy, however, there’s a chance this could work out as follows:
Assemble a Team and Make Joint Purchases: This might be a bit cumbersome, but nowadays, with the help of AI, you can create a fund linked to the LICENSE token based on each member’s contribution to purchase one or more licenses. This means that the more a person has contributed toward the purchase, the greater their share of the profits it generates. Of course, there must be a fund manager, and this must be done through an account that everyone has access to so that it works properly and everyone can see the actual rewards.
Building Tools: Everything can be done as a team or individually, and it would be great to build tools that help everyone receive votes from the largest SPS holders to increase revenue. It’s interesting work that allows you to add value and interact with the community. I love these ideas, although it would be great to work on them as a team—especially for those who don’t have the resources.
Final Thoughts
I hope this post has shed even more light on “Validator Nodes”—how they work, what the rewards are, and the strategies you can use to earn and maximize your income from them. La semana pasada publique un post acerca de los “Nodos Validadores” de SPS y el token LICENSE, explicando como poner a funcionar uno de la forma mas sencilla posible, pero, para el que no lo haya visto no se preocupen, al final de esta introducción le estaré dejando el enlace directo a esa publicación para que la lean detalladamente antes de esta, ya que, debes manejar la información anterior para proseguir con la de este post en donde solo hablare de las recompensas y de como se obtienen, ya que si, colocas el nodo validador y lo activas, pero surge la duda ¿Qué mas debo hacer o solo se trata de activarlo?
Pues explicare todo eso, ademas si eres nuevo en la red de Hive, toda esta explicación sobre las recompensas de los nodos en Splinterlands y la red de SPS te ayudara entender mucho cómo funcionan las recompensas en ambas redes, ya que ambas trabajan prácticamente igual, aunque un poco diferente gracias al token LICENSE, pero todos esos detalles y el método mas lo que tienes que hacer estarán en esta publicación, pero tranquilos, no será nada del otro mundo, solo que es información que deben manejar si quieren adentrarse en una u otra manera para generar recompensas en el ecosistema de Splinterlands.
Así que, si quieres saber como funciona, como se dividen, que es lo que hay que hacer una vez ya tienen el nodo activo, tienen que leer este post sumamente sencillo hasta el final.
Sistema de Recompensas de los Nodos Validadores SPS
Como todas las recompensas en Splinterlands, estas provienen de una “Pool” de recompensas en donde se destina cierta cantidad de SPS al mes para repartir entre todos los que ayuden asegurar la red, es decir a todos los que tengan NODOS, pero, esto no es todo, sino que se dividen dependiendo de si eres poseedor de una licencia, es decir del token LICENSE, y esos validadores que son votados por los poseedores de SPS, sin embargo, para que entiendan que es lo mas importante explicare como es que finalmente se dividen las recompensas de un total de 3.750.000 SPS al mes:
División de Recompensas
Fondo para los Poseedores de Licencias (LICENSE 90% - 3.375.000 SPS/Mes): Aquí lo interesante es que los poseedores de “Licencias” obtienen el 90% de este pool entre todos los validadores, esto quiere decir que, es mas rentable tener un montón de validadores (LICENSES) trabajando y asegurando la red, por lo que, mientras mas tengas obviamente mayor será el porcentaje que ganes.
Fondo para Validadores que son Votados (10% - 375000 SPS/Mes): Aquí se reparte el 10% restante, pero depende de que tantos votos te haya dado la comunidad, por lo que, aunque quizás parezca que es menos, la realidad es que este porcentaje se reparte entre menos usuarios, ya que no todos recibirán votos de la comunidad, porque esto depende de que tanto aportes a la comunidad de Splinterlands, por lo que, mientras más votos recibas, más subirás de posiciones y más “Bloques” podrás verificar en la red.
IMPORTANTE: No porque sean fondos distintos solo puedes ganar de uno, de hecho, si tienes LICENSES que son validadores activos donde puedes obtener del fondo el 90% de todos los SPS destinados al mes aquí dependiendo de que tantos tengas, pero y ademas también recibes votos de los poseedores de SPS, puedes obtener ingresos de ambos “Pools”, por lo que, todo depende de que tanto valor estas dispuesto a aportar a la comunidad.
Ademas, la verificación de transacciones en la red de SPS funciona igual que la de Hive, esta se lleva a cabo por medio de lo que se conoce como DPoS o “Prueba de Participación de Delegada”, donde los principales validadores, aquellos que verifican los bloques y obtienen mayores recompensas por esto dependen única y exclusivamente por la elección de la comunidad, es decir, los que tienen SPS en Staking, lo mismo que pasa en Hive con los que tienen HP.
Estrategias de Maximización de Recompensas
Para maximizar las recompensas con los Validadores no hay trucos ni necesitas hacer nada extraño, creo que aquí esta bastante claro, sin embargo, para los que de verdad quieran hacerlo y no tengan el tiempo para jugar el juego, y estar a diario jugando y ganando, puedes obtener ingresos de forma totalmente pasiva y exponerse a uno de los mejores juegos “Web3” con años de trayectoria, es por eso que, si quieres generar ingresos de forma pasiva e invertir pero no tienes tiempo para jugar, diría que esta es la mejor opción que hay, pero, ya les explico de nuevo que deberían hacer:
La Escalabilidad mediante múltiples “LICENCIAS”
Aquí la estrategia es clara, mientras mas tokens LICENCES tengas en tu cuenta, mayores serán tus recompensas, sin embargo, no necesitas tener cientos o miles de ellas sino puedes permitírtelo, ya que justo al momento que estoy escribiendo este post, el precio de un token LICENSE en “Hive Engine” esta justamente en los 4900 Hive que son aproximadamente $256,61, por lo que, no es fácil, sin embargo, hay posibilidades de que esto funcione de la siguiente manera:
Reunir un Equipo y comprar varias entre varios: Esto puede que sea un poco engorroso, pero hoy en día con ayuda de la IA puedes crear un fondo relacionado con el token LICENSE, de acuerdo con lo que haya aportado cada miembro de esta para compra una o varias licencias, esto quiere decir que, mientras mas una persona haya aportado para comprar, mayor será su porcentaje de las ganancias que esta genere. Es un trabajo interesante mientras agregas valor e interactúas con la comunidad. Estas ideas me encantan, aunque seria genial hacerlas en equipo en especial aquellos que no tienen los recursos.
Consideraciones Finales
Espero que este post haya aclarado aún más el panorama relacionado con los “Nodos Validadores”, como funcionan, cuales son las recompensas y las estrategias que se pueden utilizar para obtener y maximizar los ingresos con ellas. Por supuesto, es una inversión de riesgo como todo, pero yo diría que es una de las mas seguras de todo Splinterlands, pero, dime que tal te pareció, sabias como funcionaba, ademas las estrategias están bien, aunque deben ser con personas de confianza, aquí la mayoría nos conocemos.
