2026 starts strong for Splinterlands – Technical and Fundamental Analysis of $SPS [ES-EN]

2026 esta comenzando con mucha fuerza para los mercados financieros, en especial las criptomonedas, ya que después de algunos meses de incertidumbre, miedo y el no saber que va a pasar, porque muchos pensaban que ya entrabamos en un “Ciclo de mercado bajista”, la realidad es que, no sabemos todavía que pasara, sin embargo, prácticamente desde el primero de enero hemos visto como el precio de SPS se ha disparado de forma parabólica y es natural que todos nos preguntemos que ha pasado.
Con todo esto sucediendo justo ahora, tratare de analizar que es lo que esta pasando actualmente en “Splinterlands” y el porque de esta gran subida, por supuesto, lo que diga en este post no quiere decir que sea lo que realmente este pasando, son solo mis propias conclusiones y análisis de la situación, aunque, soy más analista técnico que otra cosa, por lo que, me basare en explicar más que todo a través de este método.
Así que, veamos que es lo que puede pasar en este nuevo año y que nos espera, así que, si quieres leer un buen análisis al respecto, no dudes en quedarte en este post:
Analisis técnico del SPS – Grafico de 1D
Claramente podemos ver una tendencia bajista que comenzó desde agosto del año pasado que he marcado con una línea perpendicular de color blanco, sin embargo, justo el 31 de diciembre, el precio realizo la ruptura de esta línea, y el 1ro de enero, la acción del precio retrocedió a la línea realizando el famoso “Retesteo a la línea” para luego subir con mucha fuerza prácticamente todo el resto de los días que han transcurrido del mes, esto hasta ayer 6 de enero que se formo una vela “Doji”, mostrando indecisión.
Sin embargo, justo ahora no sabemos a donde ira el precio, pero, con la experiencia que tengo en el análisis técnico, después de una subida tan parabólica y claramente con un gran volumen, el precio debería de retroceder al menos hasta el 50% de este impulso que posicionaría el precio entre los $0.071 y los $0.070, para luego, buscar otro nuevo impulso que busque superar el anterior en los $0.081.
Luego de esto, los siguientes objetivos de precio serian lo siguiente:
- Resistencia en los $0.089
- Si llega a romper ese nivel, la siguiente posible resistencia podría estar en los $0.098
- Después de esto, el precio tiene vía libre para llegar y sobrepasar incluso el nivel de los $0.010
Otras métricas técnicas
En la imagen anterior podemos ver algo realmente interesante y es que la mayoría de los indicadores técnicos mas usados en el “Trading” y en el propio “Analisis Técnico”, estos muestran en su mayoría puras “Compras”, por supuesto, debo resaltar que todos estos indicadores se basan en lo que el precio ya ha realizado en el pasado y no garantiza que lo mismo suceda en el presente o futuro, sin embargo, puede ayudarnos a darnos una idea de lo que probablemente podría pasar, marcando el sentimiento que se siente sobre el $SPS justo en la actualidad, sin mencionar que el marco de tiempo que tienen es de 1 semana.
Esta segunda imagen esta aun mas interesante, ya que muestra el desempeño del precio en todos los años desde que el token salió al mercado, por supuesto, si observan con detenimiento el mejor mes corresponde a su año de salida que fue en el 2021, posterior a eso, en el 2022 el precio se hundió estrepitosamente, en el 2023 subió marcando su segundo mejor desempeño, pero, en el 2024tuvo su segundo, pero desempeño, por lo que, ya sabemos los 2 peores años.
Por último, tenemos el año 2025, el cual fue interesante para todo el ecosistema de las criptomonedas, especialmente al inicio del año en su primer semestre, sin embargo, terminando el año, el desempeño empeoro mucho más, causando una caída estrepitosa en el $SPS, pero, no todo es malo, especialmente en el inicio de este año 2026 lleno de incertidumbre, pero, no hay que dejar que estos nos domine porque cuando un proyecto o token tiene múltiples utilidades, posteriormente lo que vemos es precisamente esta reacción, un buen impulso al alza.
Analisis fundamental de Splinterlands para este 2026
Justo en este momento, no hay ninguna noticia relevante que podríamos resaltar y que explique la explosión del precio del $SPS, tampoco a nuevas propuestas que podrían afectar a la jugabilidad o la economía del $SPS y del juego directamente, por lo que, en este sentido no hay nada que lo explique, pero, según lo que estoy viendo, el equipo de “Splinterlands” sigue realizando cambios y actualizaciones sin descanso y que podemos seguirlas paso a paso en las siguientes notas de versiones, pueden verlas haciendo clic AQUÍ.
Se han agregado nuevas reglas de batalla o ahora llamados “Modificadores”, también se han realizado cambios en el nuevo apartado de “Avatares” y su tienda, este cambio me ha gustado mucho, ya que podemos customizarlo de forma increíble y a gusto de cada jugador, todo esto hace que el juego se mantenga en movimiento y admiro el trabajo que han realizado todos en el equipo, así que, todo este tipo de cosas, han hecho que quizás el precio del $SPS haya experimentado tal subida.
Nota: Por supuesto, esto no quiere decir que haya sido la razón, ya que la especulación esta a la orden del día, y todo puede ser a raíz de varias “Ballenas” queriendo acumular mas $SPS o en su defecto, cierta manipulación para que los inversores “Minoristas” caigan incautos en la trampa, es un mercado libre así que todo puede pasar.
Consideraciones Finales
En lo fundamental lamentablemente no hay mucho que resaltar, salvo que en todos los aspectos que ya conocemos, el juego sigue sobre la marcha actualizándose y realizando cambios, ademas hay que estar atentos a propuestas o actualizaciones nuevas que pudieran cambiar el rumbo del proyecto para bien, ademas causar un impacto positivo en el precio del $SPS.
Lo que nos queda es esperar, pero, parte de este análisis lo que mas me gusta es su aspecto “Técnico”, el precio está teniendo un buen desempeño y aunque en el corto plazo podríamos experimentar un retroceso, esto podría ser el inicio para tener un nuevo impulso alcista que nos lleve mas alto, sin mencionar que, todos los mecanismos de quema del $SPS funcionan, por lo que el suministro es cada vez menos.

2026 is starting off strong for financial markets, especially cryptocurrencies. After several months of uncertainty, fear, and not knowing what was going to happen—because many thought we were entering a "bear market cycle"—the reality is that we still don't know what will happen. However, since practically January 1, we have seen the price of SPS skyrocket, and it is natural for us all to wonder what has happened.
With all this happening right now, I will try to analyze what is currently happening in Splinterlands and the reason for this huge increase. Of course, what I say in this post does not mean that it is what is really happening; these are just my own conclusions and analysis of the situation. However, I am more of a technical analyst than anything else, so I will base my explanation mainly on this method.

Technical analysis of SPS – 1D chart
We can clearly see a downward trend that began in August last year, which I have marked with a white perpendicular line. However, on December 31, the price broke through this line, and on January 1, the price action retreated to the line, performing the famous "retest of the line," and then rose strongly for practically the rest of the month. This continued until yesterday, January 6, when a "Doji" candle formed, showing indecision.
However, right now we don't know where the price will go, but, based on my experience in technical analysis, after such a parabolic rise and clearly with a large volume, the price should retreat at least 50% of this momentum, which would position the price between $0.071 and $0.070, and then seek another new momentum that seeks to exceed the previous one at $0.081.
After this, the following price targets would be as follows:
- Resistance at $0.089
- If it breaks through that level, the next possible resistance could be at $0.098.
- After this, the price has a clear path to reach and even exceed the $0.010 level.
Other technical metrics
In the image above, we can see something really interesting, which is that most of the technical indicators most commonly used in trading and technical analysis show mostly "buys." Of course, I must emphasize that all these indicators are based on what the price has already done in the past and do not guarantee that the same will happen in the present or future. However, they can help give us an idea of what is likely to happen, indicating the current sentiment regarding $SPS, not to mention that the time frame is one week.
This second image is even more interesting, as it shows the price performance in all the years since the token was launched. Of course, if you look closely, the best month corresponds to its launch year, which was 2021. After that, in 2022, the price plummeted, and in 2023, it rose, marking its second-best performance. However, in 2024, it had its second-best performance, so we already know the two worst years.
Finally, we have the year 2025, which was interesting for the entire cryptocurrency ecosystem, especially at the beginning of the year in its first half. However, by the end of the year, performance had deteriorated significantly, causing a sharp drop in $SPS. But it's not all bad news, especially at the start of this uncertain year 2026. We mustn't let this dominate us because when a project or token has multiple uses, what we see later is precisely this reaction: a strong upward momentum.
Fundamental analysis of Splinterlands for 2026
At this moment, there is no relevant news that we could highlight that explains the explosion in the price of $SPS, nor are there any new proposals that could directly affect the gameplay or economy of $SPS and the game. Therefore, in this sense, there is nothing to explain it. However, from what I am seeing, the Splinterlands team continues to make changes and updates relentlessly, and we can follow them step by step in the following release notes, which you can view by clicking HERE.
New battle rules, now called "Modifiers," have been added, and changes have also been made to the new "Avatars" section and its store. I really like this change, as we can customize it in incredible ways to suit each player's tastes. All of this keeps the game moving forward, and I admire the work that everyone on the team has done. So, all these kinds of things have perhaps caused the price of $SPS to rise so much.
Note: Of course, this does not mean that this was the reason, as speculation is rife, and it could all be due to several "whales" wanting to accumulate more $SPS or, failing that, some manipulation to lure "retail" investors into the trap. It is a free market, so anything can happen.
Final Thoughts
Fundamentally, unfortunately, there is not much to highlight, except that in all the aspects we already know, the game continues to be updated and changes are being made. We must also be attentive to new proposals or updates that could change the course of the project for the better, as well as have a positive impact on the price of $SPS.
All we can do now is wait, but what I like most about this analysis is its "technical" aspect. The price is performing well, and although we could see a pullback in the short term, this could be the start of a new upward momentum that takes us higher, not to mention that all the $SPS burning mechanisms are working, so supply is decreasing.
