There's something truly magical about watching people open card packs in Splinterlands or any collectible game, I believe. At first, I thought it was silly to watch other players’ rewards, feeling happy while you didn’t win anything, but I soon realized how satisfying and even addictive it can be for our minds. When I find myself watching these videos, I feel a kind of tranquility, a peace of mind that is hard to find in other daily activities. I’ve even fallen asleep watching Pokémon card pack openings.

This time, I was enjoying the beautiful video by @clove71, where she opens 26 Rebellion Packs, the latest collection released by the Splinterlands team.

I think part of the satisfaction comes from the anticipation and suspense in that moment. Each card pack is like a 1/100 chance because you never know exactly what you’ll find, and that uncertainty generates excitement. You can be 100% happy, or 100% sad Haha. When the person finally opens the pack and reveals the cards, it’s as if I’m there, opening the pack too, or just watching from the side, hoping for something rare to appear. Each rare or legendary card gives me a little burst of dopamine, a genuine joy, even if I’m not the owner of the cards and still prefer previous collections over Rebellion.

There’s also something very special about the way people share their pack openings. You can see Clove’s happiness when she gets a legendary summoner; I’m sure she won’t sell it anytime soon. The Splinterlands community is amazing, full of passionate and excited people about this #Play2Earn game on Hive. Seeing other people’s reactions, hearing their comments, feeling their excitement – all of this contributes to my own experience of happiness. It’s like watching an exciting movie or a sports game: shared joy is multiplied.

There’s also an element of fleeting nostalgia.

I remember when I was a kid, opening sticker packs or Pokémon cards when I had no idea how to play, just having them because they were cool. That feeling of anticipation, the joy of finding a rare card and showing it to my friends, is something that has stayed with me over the years. Watching other people open packs in Splinterlands takes me back to those happy moments of childhood. It’s a way to relive those feelings, even if in a different and temporary way.

Some might find this thought of mine strange, maybe.

But I see it as a legitimate and valuable form of entertainment. It’s not just about the cards, but about the experience as a whole. It’s about the connection with the community, the nostalgia, the aesthetics, and of course, the pure and simple fun of seeing what comes out of the next pack. It’s a hobby that might seem silly at first glance but has surprising depth and appeal.

So, next time you have a little free time, I recommend giving it a try, besides helping the post’s author on Hive. Watch some pack opening videos in Splinterlands or any other card game through the @threespeak platform. Let yourself be carried away by the excitement, the suspense, and the satisfaction of seeing those shiny cards being revealed. You might be surprised at how relaxing and rewarding it can be.

For me, at least, it’s a simple and enjoyable way to find a bit of peace and joy amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Há algo realmente mágico em assistir pessoas abrindo pacotes de cartas em Splinterlands ou qualquer jogo de coleções acredito eu. Confesso que, inicialmente, achei que era uma bobagem ficar olhando as recompensas de outros jogadores, ficando felizes enquanto você não ganhava nada, mas logo percebi o quanto isso pode ser satisfatório e até viciante para nossa mente. Quando me pego assistindo a esses vídeos, sinto uma espécie de tranquilidade, uma paz de espírito que é difícil de encontrar em outras atividades do dia a dia. Eu até mesmo já cheguei a pegar no sono assistindo abertura de pacotes da coleção Pokémons.

Dessa vez eu estava apreciando o belo vídeo de @clove71 com a abertura de 26 Pacotes Rebellion. Que é a mais recente coleção lançada pela equipe responsável por Splinterlands.

Acho que parte dessa satisfação vem da expectativa e do suspense que se tem naquele momento. Cada pacote de cartas é como uma chance de 1/100 já que você nunca sabe exatamente o que vai encontrar, e essa incerteza gera uma sensação de empolgação. Você pode ficar 100% feliz, ou 100% triste Haha. Também há algo de muito especial na maneira como as pessoas compartilham suas aberturas de pacotes, você pode perceber a felicidade de clove quando ela consegue adquirir um lendário invocador, eu tenho certeza que ela não irá vender isso tão cedo. A comunidade de Splinterlands é incrível, cheia de gente apaixonada e animada por esse jogo #Play2Earn na Hive. Ver as reações de outras pessoas, ouvir seus comentários, sentir sua empolgação em conjunto tudo isso contribui para a minha própria experiência de felicidade. É como assistir a um filme emocionante ou a um jogo de esportes: a alegria compartilhada é multiplicada.

Há também um elemento de nostalgia passageira.

Lembro-me de quando era criança e abria pacotes de figurinhas ou cartas de Pokémon quando eu não fazia ideia de como jogar aquilo, apenas tinha por ser legal. Aquela sensação de expectativa, de alegria ao encontrar uma carta rara e exibir para meus amigos, é algo que ficou comigo ao longo dos anos. Assistir a outras pessoas abrindo pacotes em Splinterlands me leva de volta a esses momentos felizes da infância. Alguns podem achar estranho esse meu pensamento talvez.

Mas eu vejo isso como uma forma de entretenimento legítima e valiosa. Não é apenas sobre as cartas, mas sobre a experiência como um todo. É sobre a conexão com a comunidade, a nostalgia, a estética, e claro, a pura e simples diversão de ver o que vai sair do próximo pacote. É um hobby que pode parecer bobo à primeira vista, mas que tem uma profundidade e um apelo surpreendentes.

Então, da próxima vez que você tiver um tempinho livre, recomendo dar uma chance além de isso ajudar o autor da postagem na Hive.
