Greetings to all Splinterlands players and hive gaming community! I recently tried to strengthen my team by trying renting a card first from the market. My Earth team was usually composed of Elowen Sylphie for the archon. Her skills are Resurgence and Trample which are give to two cards.

Resurgence - Self-resurrects once per battle with 100% health and armor. All magic debuffs are removed, and all magic buffs are reapplied. Skips turn. Deals 1 physical damage to all units.
Trample - After using a melee attack to defeat a unit, performs another melee attack against the unit in the next position.
From the archon's skills, it's safe to say that it's best to use a two tank set up and give them the skills.
The two tanks I have are Doomshield Warden and Dire Bear.

The two tanks work very well for me because they have high attack that goes well with Trample skill. The problem is their high mana. Doomshield Warden cost 14 while Dire Bear is 10. That's already 26 mana on the two cards alone. I needed a tank card that has low mana but has the same attack as the Dire Bear. I looked in the market and I cannot find a suitable candidate in the Conclave Arcana cards so I looked in the Rebellion set and found what I was looking for.

I rented a level 2 Lioceros for only one DEC per day. He has the same three attack as the Dire Bear and has Thorns skills. What's more, he is a Mundane Beast that gets a Charge skill from Elowen Sylphie. He is the perfect card to add to my Earth team. I now have him regularly when I choose the Earth element.

Lioceros can take the main tank role in very low mana games. In this one, it worked well with Ironwing Juggernaut.

In other games, other tanks can take the first position. Lioceros gets the charge skill so he can still attack even if he does not have Reach.

If you feel like trying cards you have not used before but cannot buy them, I recommend renting. It's a cheap alternative to play with cards. Of course, if your guild has a library, it's a better option. I borrow my legendary archons from our guild library and it has levelled up my gaming experience.
