My New Cards in Modern Format

Greetings to all Splinterlands players and hive gaming community! I have been advocating the benefits of being in a guild in my previous posts. Mainly due to the advantage of the Library building which I use to borrow cards. I initially borrowed two cards but seeing that nobody else is borrowing, I borrowed two more.

This big guy has five magic attack. It has sufficient armor and health that it can also be in the first position. It's a gold foil card that brings a 10% bonus to SPS earned on won battles for an additional incentive. It's skills are not that great but useful to remove buffs from the opponent's cards.

Another card with a high attack. This one is an archer with seven attack. It's also a gold foil that brings a bonus to SPS earned. It has a skill to reduce the opponent's melee power so it's more useful skill than the previous card.

Gift Cards

An unexpected gift from one of our guild officers, @aironeous. I got new cards that bumped my collection especially the Earth element.

Forlorn Geomant is a thirteen mana card that's like the cards I borrowed. It has five magic attack like Ballista Deadshot above. Silverleaf Mage is an archer with three attack and Taunt skill. Fenmoor Wood Troll has a lower archer attack of two but he has two skills, Wing Break and Blind. Then there's also Living Berm with three archer attack and Decoy skill.

There were also low mana cards that I can now use in low mana games. I can have a team with Sacrosanct Shanker in the first position followed by Fenmoor Platypus. The magic attackers are Mag Kaboomist and Virid Venomancer. Then there are Buttercup Mauler and Phlegmunculus manning the back.

I'm already using the new cards and here are some games that I won. Having these cards pushed me to Silver II League.

New archer card Living Berm is a good dps card. It got killed early because its Decoy skill acts like Taunt.

This game has the new archer card I borrowed. It has a high attack of seven. Also, having two gold foil cards give 20% buff to SPS earnings.

Sacrosanct Shanker was the temporary tank in this game while the Dread Tafarian waits his turn. This was done to preserve Dread Tafarian because of the Burning modifier. The opponent employed a similar strategy but had Ironwing Juggernaut as his temporary tank.

Ballista Deadshot's high magic damage made a huge impact reducing the opponent's health if not immediately eliminating them.

Join a Guild

If you are a player with few cards in your deck. Join a guild that can assist you to grow in Splinterlands. Borrowing cards is only one benefit. You can join brawls to earn SPS, enjoy reward multipliers and shop discounts. Since joining a guild, I'm adding my cards by buying from the shop and the market. This makes the game more fun and add progression. If you're not a guild member yet, now is the time to find one.

As a guild member do your part by having the right cards and showing up in the fray you have joined in brawls. Donate guild power to help upgrade the guild buildings. Our guild does not require us to donate but I give part of my earnings by donating.
