October's First Season: Earnings in Modern, Survival, and Tournaments.(En/Es)

My focus this season was on the Modern and Survival formats, aiming to reach 100 battles in each, as well as to rank among the top 100 in Modern and the top 25 in Survival. This season, we were testing the new bracket system implemented for the Modern format, which gives players the option to choose their skill level; I felt that the matches were more balanced and, at the same time, more entertaining; finally, you can enjoy the game without running into players with higher-tier decks. I appreciate that they redesigned the system and brought us something new.

My performance in Modern in Bracket III, where I reached Division 5 Gold with a very good win rate, was the best streak I’ve had in this format in a long time. I remember that in previous seasons I couldn’t get past a 60% win rate, but this season—wow!—I finished with 73%. My Glint earnings were good, but in terms of SPS, I feel like I didn’t earn much; I earned a little more SPS in previous seasons with almost the same amount of SPS rented. Although I’m going to keep renting the same amount this season and see how it goes, moving up through each division to earn the points needed for SPS allocation may have played a role.

The matches in Survival were played in Bracket III (Intermediate), since some brackets were disabled, leaving only Bracket III and Bracket IV available. Many active players in this format were spread across these brackets, making the end-of-season standings more competitive.

What I didn't manage to achieve after reaching 100 battles were the rankings I wanted in each format; I lost the Modern bonus and, at the same time, I also lost my spot in the Survival tournament.

Well, I have a decent amount of Glint to spend, but right now I can't decide what to buy. I'm kind of torn between buying some skins directly or trying my luck with the chests. Here's a quick look at some minor chest openings I did when I found out I might get a skin from them; this week I'll let you know which ones I bought from the ones shown in the image—or if I ended up getting others instead.

I’m still keeping up my habit of participating in whatever tournaments are available, hoping to win some tokens (SPS, DEC, GLINT). My performance isn’t always the best, but sometimes I pull off a surprise, making it through the first round with flying colors and holding onto a good position in the second. These rewards help me pay for some card rentals or upgrade my deck, but I’m considering putting whatever I win in upcoming tournaments toward my goal of upgrading my Archons; to do this, I need to sign up for a few more tournaments.

Here are some of the rewards I’ve earned this season, but in total, I’ve earned over 200 SPS.

Un resumen de la temporada en los formatos Modern y Survival; también quiero compartir un poco de mis ganancias en algunos torneos.

Mi enfoque en esta temporada estuvo en los formatos Modern y Survival, buscando llegar a las cien batallas en cada uno de ellos, como estar entre los cien del rating de Modern y los veinticinco en Survival. Esta temporada estábamos probando el nuevo sistema de brackets aplicado al formato Modern, dar la opción de escoger en qué nivel participar; sentí que las batallas fueron más equilibradas y a la vez más entretenidas; por fin se puede disfrutar del juego sin toparse con jugadores con mazos de niveles superiores. Se agradece que rediseñaran el sistema y nos trajeran algo nuevo.

Mi desempeño en Modern en el Bracket III, donde llegué hasta la división 5 Oro con una muy buena tasa de victorias, hace tiempo que no mantenía tan buena racha en este formato. Recuerdo que en temporadas anteriores no llegaba a superar el 60% de tasa de victorias y en esta temporada, ¡vaya!, llegué al final con 73%. Mi ganancia de Glint fue buena, pero en cuanto a SPS siento que gané poco; ganaba un poco más de SPS en las anteriores temporadas y casi con la misma cantidad de SPS rentado. Aunque esta temporada voy a seguir manteniendo la misma cantidad y observaré cómo me va, puede que haya influido el ascenso en cada división para ganar los puntos necesarios para la asignación de SPS.

Las batallas en Survival fueron en bracket III Intermediate, ya que deshabilitaron algunos, dejando disponibles los bracket III y bracket IV. Muchos jugadores activos en este formato nos distribuimos en estos brackets, haciendo más competitiva la clasificación de final de temporada.

Lo que no logré alcanzar después de llegar a las cien batallas fueron las posiciones que quería en cada formato, perdiendo el bonus de Modern y a la vez también perdí la entrada al torneo Survival.

Bueno, tengo una cantidad aceptable de Glint para usar, pero por el momento no me decido en qué comprar. Estoy algo antojado de comprar directamente algunas skins o probar suerte con los cofres. Les comparto una pequeña apertura de cofres menores cuando me enteré de que podría encontrar una skin allí; esta semana les cuento cuáles compré de los señalados en la imagen o si fueron otros más.

Sigo manteniendo mi costumbre de participar en los torneos que tengo disponibles, buscando ganar algún token en ellos (SPS, DEC, GLINT). Mi desempeño no siempre es el mejor, pero en ocasiones se da la sorpresa, superando muy bien la primera ronda y conservando un buen lugar en la segunda. Estas recompensas me son de utilidad para mantener algunas rentas de cartas o mejorar el mazo, pero estoy considerando destinar lo que gane en los próximos torneos a mi objetivo de mejorar los arcontes; para esto necesito inscribirme en algunos torneos más.

Estas son algunas recompensas que gané en la temporada, pero en total gané más de 200 SPS.
