SPS Token Delisting from MEXC Exchange

SPS coin is the main coin of splinterlands game. It is an important part of the game because the token is usable in almost every inventory that we have in the game ecosystem. And while we keep tokens as I stake in the game, it also helps us earn better in game reward and also helps us earn some APR as part of this taking reward. currently the staking reward is about 7%, which I think is not bad, but it is because earlier it was almost 10%. So it makes sense to hold this coin in the game account only and not in the exchange.

If you are holding the coin in the MEXC exchange wallet, then this post is going to help you. I used this exchange and bought SPS from this exchange last year when I joined the game. I got an email from the exchange that this token is delisted from their marketplace, and withdrawal will also be disabled on 11th March. So technically, you have a time in which you need to withdraw all your tokens from the exchange wallet. MEXC Announcement on ST Warning (February 2026)

This is very important to keep ourselves updated when we are holding the coins in the exchange wallet, because if delisting happens and we do not withdraw within the time period, then we can lose the coins. I hold a very small balance in my MEXC exchange wallet, so I am not worried because that is below the minimum threshold, but now I am aware of the delisting, and I will not be using the exchange for SPS anymore.

SPS coin is already delisted from the market, and we can not bu itybuy itthe wallet will be working until 11th March 2026. In general exchange keep on adding and removing some coins, so the right practise is to keep an eye on the announcement, which generally happens once a month, so that we know if any coin that we hold is getting affected, and accordingly, we can take action on time to avoid monetary losses.

This is just one of the delistings for SPS, so there is nothing to worry about because it is still listed on many other exchanges. Now at least I know that when I do my future purchase for SPS, I need not use the mexc exchange exchange anymore.

Just now, I noticed that I have some SPS coins liquid in my wallet, so I just powered up because I don't think it's a good idea to keep all those tokens. After the power-up, now I have over 120 KS in my game account, and the current value of this holding is 800 US dollars, which I know is very low, but that's fine since I have no plan to sell, and it is my long-term investment in the game. I will continue to buy, and I have some plans to buy SPS this year, in 2026, but let's see when I can materialise this plan.
