Splinterlands Rentals: Adapting to Market Changes for the Season Ahead

I was away for a couple of days from the game and that is the reason why I could not play. I tried playing the battle but because my card collection was not as strong and it is also because my rental was not done. I wanted to do it over the weekend because in the weekday I did not get time to do it so here I am and I have renewed my rentals for the ongoing season. I have some cards that I can use to play in the battleground but I still lack a lot of cards and that is why I am dependent on the rental market to take those cards on the rent.

I notice a lot of changes in the rental market and the cards availability where some of the element cards were available but at slightly higher prices. Some elements had very low liquidity or I should say the availability of the cards in the rental market. I don't know why it is happening. There could be two reasons why the availability is low. First scenario is that there is more demand for the cards in the market and that is why the availability is low and the another possible scenario could be that a lot of people started using their own cards for their game play and they do not want to rent out.

I don't know what the real situation is but because I take a lot of cards from the rental market and I have been doing it for many months. If I talk about the wild format then I started doing it from last two seasons and this is a season where I felt that there were many cards which were not available for the lease. If the rental is increased we can take it as a positive change in the game because this way the people who invested on the cards will be able to earn more but I think the availability problem should be resolved so that more players having less cards collection get the opportunity to play the game. I have not done any comparison whether it is profitable or not when we play with the rented cards but I believe that if we add up the experience of the gaming then for sure it is much more entertaining and probably profitable also but I cannot say about it. Maybe in future I'll do some comparison but for now I'm happy with the gameplay in the world format and I hope it continues to be the same.

The season countdown is on and the current season will be ending in more than nine days from the time when I'm writing this blog. With the rented cards I expect that I will be able to win more battles and I will try to spend more time on the battleground this weekend which I think will help me to level up my rating because now I am in the lower league which I need to improve. I'm not worried about it because I know that with more battles I will be able to increase my league and hopefully this is going to be time and if not champion which is again independent upon the overall competition on the battleground and how many battles I win.

It's an unpredictable part of the game because I don't know how many battles I'm going to win and winning each and every battle is also not practical and technically it is not possible. Every battle is good to learn something new and see how I can do even better in the next one S no matter whether I lose or win but in both the scenario every battle gives the opportunity to learn and improve in the next one.

I have paid some HBD to buy credits in the game and that fund I used to pay for the rental cost because I feel it is the easiest way where I can get the credits at fixed price. The current price of DEC token is not much discounted anymore so I choose to go with credits but later if I see some buying opportunity with DEC I will go ahead and buy because later it can help me get better cards on the rental at lower price and Just because I got some dec tokens at less price.

Buying SPS is another goal that I am working on and this time price is low again. I am monitoring the prices and even hive price is low. I am buying hive because of its low price which is around $0.20 and this is a good time to buy and stake more hive and similar to SPS also I have the goal.
