Splinterlands: A Competitive Season, Rental Adjustments, and the Pursuit of Higher Leagues

This game is amazing and in Splinterlands every player is aware that one season is far approx two weeks or about 15 days. The current season is passed by over 10 days. now the season is going good for me and I have unlocked the diamond league. As far as this season is concerned all I can say is that it is very competitive because I have been trying for last week and the diamond was not happening.

This Season I am in Diamond

In the last season I remember that I was winning more battles and losing few but this time it's completely different. I lose a lot of battles but winning ratio is not that good. Its because I am matched with players who are really very good and they have very powerful cards with them. I believe that there is some algorithm That works behind the scene to match players according to the holding. Holding is about the card and based on that the other player matching should be happening. I am happy that I finally made it to the diamond league and I will stay here in this league. I have a good amount of SPS delegation which is helping me to get twelve X reward boost.

This is the progress for the current season and where I stand. You can see that I'm in the Diamond Three league And I will try if I can go to the next sub league which is going to be diamond 2. I don't know if it is going to happen or not because to be honest I have experienced a very high level competition this season. it took me one week to unlock the diamond league from gold and that is why I find it highly competitive.

The Rental Strategy

I have taken many cards on the lease that you can also call the rental market. I believe this is a good option for every new player in the game. Because not everyone can buy enough card since the cost is high. It is obvious that people will spend money on the cards buying which is a sort of investment. But in the beginning it is not possible because of different reasons. The primary reason is that new players are not aware which cards are good to have and which are not. In a way every card is good in the game that comes with some utility but practically it is not possible to buy all. We need to have some selected cards in the game but even after spending over a month on the game I have limited understanding.

some of the cards that I am familiar with I have taken on the rental. I also observed the change on the rental that now I'll have to take the cards for the season and I cannot customise it for the number of days. I was not aware of this change but later I got to know through my mentor @bravetofu

I don't know When this change was implemented but I noticed when I was taking the cards on rental. I just hope this change is good and for me it does not matter much because anyways I take cards for the longer duration. I think it can be difficult for those players who were taking cards for only a few days because now they will not be able to do that. My preference was to take those cards on the rent for longer duration which is 30 days or something so considering that I will have to put more efforts. It is because I cannot take ones for the longer duration and every 15 days I will have to revisit the rental arrangement.

Earlier cards I've taken with 30 days rental whereas the recent cards are taken for just 10 days And this is because of the new changes happened in the game. Now I'll have to put more time but its fine because maybe this change is good for the player and also for the card owners.

Anyways I'm not planning to stay dependent on the rental market for too long but I will try to have a balance between the cards owning and the cards rental. I have figured out that it is good to own the cards but still I believe that it will take too much time and that is why rental is my Another place that I will continue to utilise. I have already purchased some cards and this is just beginning because I will continue to buy more cards from the marketplace. But since this is not enough for me to play the battles in the game so I will also utilise the rental market and this way I will be able to have a good card collection.

I don't think I'm going to play with the basic cards because it's not fun. it's also because I started playing with high level cards and thanks to my mentor for that. Now no matter what but I will continue to take high level cards depending upon availability and the prices to continue the battle in the game. its fun to play with high level cards and what is also good and it is obvious that I cannot enter in diamond with basic level cards.

So now because this season will be ending in 4 days and I'm thinking to try some more so that if I can take my league to the next one. It is also because my SPS Is delegated and it will be with me just for a month out of which a week is already gone. If it happens then I think my reward will be improved but I don't know how much it will be. I will try to increase the league but at the same time I will also make sure that I do not drop further because I don't want to end the season in gold league.
