After a long time without playing Splinterlands, I decided to return to the game and see the new features that appeared during the years I was absent from the Hive.
Many things have changed in Splinterlands, more than I can explain in just one post, so I'll just show my first steps after returning to the game.

Initially, I went to Campaign Mode. This is a great option for those returning to the game or for beginners. In Campaign Mode, you'll learn the basics of how battles work, and since it's been a while since I've been on the battlefield, I decided to complete Campaign Mode to catch up on the changes in battle and also the new layout.
There are 2 options in Campaign Mode:
Choose Book 1 and complete all the chapters.

In total, there are 18 chapters to complete, and they will give you rewards.
The rewards in Campaign Mode are Foundation cards; these cards will be a great help in starting your journey in Splinterlands and also in playing the Frontier format.
There are other battle formats in Splinterlands: Modern, Wild, and Survival.
I haven't decided which format I'll play yet, but I'm sure I'll play Survival because it doesn't affect the other formats.
In Modern, players can only use cards from the Rebellion and Conclave Arcana editions.
In Wild, players can use cards from all editions.
In Survival, players choose a bracket; depending on the bracket, the player can use cards from Modern or Wild.
Remember that in Survival, when cards are defeated, they go on a cooldown for a few days before they can be used again.
You can read more details about the Survival format in the post: 🔥 Survival Mode Returns — Rebuilt with Brackets & Fairer Rewards.
To help with my progress in the Frontier format, I'm going to buy some Foundation packs.

Each Foundation pack currently costs $0.074, and I'm going to buy 5 packs.
Each pack in Splinterlands gives the player 5 random cards.

These are the cards I got, and I was lucky because with only 5 packs I received 2 Gold Foil cards and 1 Legendary card.
I chose to buy and open Foundation packs because I had 3000 credits in my account, so I decided to spend a little. The other reason is that in Campaign Mode I don't receive all the Foundation cards that exist in Splinterlands, so it's a great way to increase my collection, especially since Foundation packs are cheap.
Now all that's left is for me to rent cards to play in the main formats. I'll probably choose the Wild format because it doesn't have card restrictions like the Modern format.
