Engagement Challenge: It's a water world [EN - ESP]
Friday morning. Day off work. What better way to start this magnificent day than getting in front of the computer with a nice cup of fresh coffee by my side to share with you all one of my favourite strategies with my beloved water mallet. You know I love WaterWorld, not the movie, but the Splinterlands deck. And I'm taking advantage of this week's Engagement Challenge to share with you one of my strategies that's a bit weird but gives me great results In this article I'm going to analyse the cards used, the reasons and battles in which it works best and, to finish, a battle in which you can see my strategy and line-up in action so you'll be able to visually assess whether it can work for you or not. So, happy Friday and let's get to this analysis.

Qué mejor manera que empezar este magnífico día que poniéndome delante del ordenador con una buena taza de café fresquito al lado para compartir con todos vosotros una de mis estrategias favoritas con mi querido mazo de agua. Ya sabéis que me encata WaterWorld, la película no, el mazo de Splinterlands. Y aprovecho la propuesta de esta semana del Engagement Challenge para compartirte una de mis estrategias algo raras pero que me da un resultado magnífico. En este artículo te voy a analizar las cartas utilizadas, los motivos y batallas en las que rinde mejor y, parfa acabar, una batalla en la que ves en acción mi estrategia y alineación para que seas capaz de valorar visualmente si a ti te puede servir o no. Así que, feliz viernes y vamos a por este análisis.

But as you know, Venari Marksrat isn't just any rat. Yes, it's the first to leave the ship and, in fact, my goal is for it to be the first to leave the ship, but you know it's because it gives a special boster to the card that comes after it. Venari Marksrat is one of the most used cards in my combats and, for being a rare card and costing only 3 summon mana points, the bonus it provides when it's removed makes it an almost mandatory card to use in most situations and in this strategy it couldn't be missing.
Vale, lo primero de todo si bajas directamente a la imagen con la batalla y el enlace es que te vas a hacer una interesante pregunta: ¿qué hace una rata en la posición de tanque de un mazo acuático? Pero es que, como bien sabes, Venari Marksrat no es un rata cualquiera. Si, es la primera en abandonar el barco y, de hecho, mi objetivo es que sea la primera en abandonar el barco pero bien sabes que es porque, al hacerlo, da un boster especial a la carta que viene por detrás. Venari Marksrat es de las cartas más utilizadas en mis combates y es que, para ser una carta rara y costar solo 3 puntos de maná de invocación, el bonus que proporciona al ser eliminada la convierte en una carta de uso casi obligatorio en la mayoria de situaciones y en esta estrategia no podía faltar.
Now it is. Now I will explain the rest of the line-up and its mission in the strategy:
- We start with Djinn Oshannus. Without any doubt it is the card I like the most and the one I love the most in the game. It was the first legendary I evolved and the one that has given me the most victories. His mission will be, fundamentally, to take advantage of Venari Marksrat's death boster and destroy the enemy ranks.
- River Hellondale: He will bring Venari Marksrat back to life, but unfortunately the game doesn't allow him to apply his kill boster twice. He also has an interesting magic attack.
- Nerissa Tridawn: What can I say about my beloved Nerissa. She only has a lot of magic attack without special abilities, but she's more than enough. We love her for her huge offensive power and we don't want her to change.
- Riverboat Captain: underrated card that as soon as she got a level up she started to be important in my roster. Nothing less than three magic attack points. That's all it takes to explain it.
- Merdaali Guardian: it never hurts to have a friend to heal you in difficult situations. His one and only mission is to restore vitality to Djinn Oshannus so he can enjoy removing opponents from the battlefield.
Ahora si. Ahora es cuando te explico el resto de la alineación y su misión en la estrategia:
- Comenzamos con Djinn Oshannus. Sin ninguna duda es la carta que más me gusta y a la que más cariño tengo dentro del juego. Fue la primera legendaria que evolucioné y la que más victorias me ha dado. Su misión será, fundamentalmente, aprovechar el boster de la muerte de Venari Marksrat y destrozar las filas enemigas.
- River Hellondale: Va a devolver a la vida a Venari Marksrat aunque, por desgracia, el juego no permite que aplique dos veces su boster por eliminación. Además, cuenta con un interesante ataque mágico.
- Nerissa Tridawn: qué decir de mi querida Nerissa. Solo tiene mucho ataque mágico sin habilidades especiales pero es que es más que suficiente. La queremos por su enorme poder ofensivo y no queremos que cambie.
- Riverboat Captain: carta infravalorada que en cuanto subió algún nivel comenzó a ser importante en mi roster. Nada menos que tres puntos de ataque mágico. Queda explicado solo con eso.
- Merdaali Guardian: nunca está de más colocar un amigo que te cure en situaciones complicadas. Su única y exclusiva misión es devolver vitalidad a Djinn Oshannus para que esté disfrute eliminando rivales del campo de batalla.
42 mana points available. All decks are usable except the life deck, and Holy Protection, Heavy Hitters and Fog of War appear as battle conditions. Special attention to Fog of War as it is the main reason and justification for the use of this strategy and this particular line-up configuration. 42 puntos de maná disponibles. Todos los mazos son utilizables salvo el de vida y aparecen como condiciones de batalla Holy Protection, Heavy Hitters y Fog of War. Atención especial a Fog of War ya que es la razón principal y la justificación del uso de esta estrategia y de esta configuración de alineación en concreto. Te explico los motivos después de ver la batalla a ver si eres capaz de intuir estos motivos. Aquí abajo tienes la configuración inicial y el enlace al combate.
I guess you've already guessed why Fog of War is key to the strategy. Bear in mind that my offensive power per round is 11 magic attack points and all my cards except the healer can do damage in every round My opponent's offensive power per round is no less than 15 points but SIlent Sha-VI's 2 are useless thanks to Fog of War and Meriput Slinger's four ranged attack points have to go over the shield of my cards and, I remind you, as summoner there is Kelya Frendul who gives a shield point to all my cards. Also, Cursed WIndeku's Thorns ability is useless against magic attacks, so two of my opponent's pillars are useless. In other words, the basis of success of this strategy is that Fog of War appears as a battle condition so that a possible tactic of the opponent with Opportunity, Snipe or similar abilities has no effect. I hope this analysis and sample of one of my best strategies has helped you to contribute ideas to your game. That and no other is my goal with these articles.
Intuyo que ya has adivinado el motivo por el que Fog of War es clave en la estrategia. Ten en cuenta que mi poder ofensivo por ronda es de 11 puntos de ataque mágico y que todas mis cartas excepto la sanadora pueden hacer daño en todas las rondas. Mi rival tiene como poder ofensivo por ronda nada menos que 15 puntos pero los 2 de SIlent Sha-VI son inútiles gracias a Fog of War y los cuatro de ataque a distancia de Meriput Slinger tienen que pasar por encima del escudo de mis cartas y, te recuerdo, que como invocadora está Kelya Frendul que da un punto de escudo a todas mis cartas. Además, la habilidad Thorns de Cursed WIndeku es inútil ante ataque mágico por lo que dos de los pilares de mi rival quedan inutilizados. Es decir, la base de triunfo de esta estrategia es que aparezca como condición de batalla Fog of War para que una posible táctica del rival con Opportunity, Snipe o habilidades similares no tenga efecto.
