Card Analysis: Surgehammer [EN - ESP]
Hello, dear friends of @splinterlands. After a period of time in which I have hardly written about our beloved card game (although I have continued to post things on my personal space about other topics), I am returning to my analyses, and this week with a card from the Arcane Conclave edition that caught my attention after using it in a few battles. It's true that the battle I'm using as an example isn't one in which it shines excessively, but it is a combat in which you can appreciate its strategy and playability. It's a little-known card due to its recent addition to the game, and I think this will be a very useful analysis if, like me, you have this more than interesting and useful card from the water deck in your ranks. Let's get started.)

Tras un periodo de tiempo en el que apenas he escrito sobre nuestro querido juego de cartas (aunque he seguido subiendo cosas a mi espacio personal sobre otros temas) vuelvo a los análisis y, esta semana, con una carta de la edición Conclave Arcana que me ha llamado la atención tras usarla en algunas batallas. Bien es cierto que la batalla que te traigo de ejemplo no es una en la que brilla excesivamente pero si es un combate en el que se puede apreciar la estrategia y jugabilidad de la misma. Es una carta poco conocida por su reciente incorporación al juego y creo que este será un análisis de mucha utilidad si, como yo, cuentas en tus filas con esta más que interesante y útil carta del mazo de agua. Comenzamos ya.
As always, let's start with the game's lore. With Surgehammer, we once again encounter one of our beloved Djinns. You already know that one of my favorite cards, my fetish card so to speak, is the legendary Djinn Oshannus. And you also know that one of my last reviews last year was of Oshannus Unmade, so you can already guess that the review of Surgehammer is going to be interesting. The brief lore accompanying this card tells us a small part of the story of the siblings Bahri and Nahla Oshannus and how she tells her brother that their father is going to reject Portia Nyr's request for help so that they can continue to recount the battle they are fighting against the orcs, in which they both display their splendid power.
Como siempre, para comenzar, el lore del juego. COn Surgehammer volvemos a encontrarnos con uno de nuestros queridos Djinns. Ya sabes que una de mis cartas preferidas, fetiche por así decirlo, es el legendario Djinn Oshannus. Y también sabes que uno de mis últimos análisis del año pasado fue el de Oshannus Unmade con lo que ya puedes intuir que el análisis de Surgehammer va a ser interesante. La breve historia del lore que acompaña a esta carta nos narra una pequeña porción de la historia de los hermanos Bahri y Nahla Oshannus y de cómo ésta le cuenta a su hermano que su padre va a rechazar la petición de ayuda de Portia Nyr para seguir contando la batalla que libran contra los orcos y en la que ambos muestran todo su esplendido poder.
Surgehammer is a rare card from the water deck and belongs to the Arcane Conclave edition. In my case, I have evolved it to level 3 and I am only one card away from promoting it to level 4 and thus gaining a new special ability. If there are no unpleasant surprises by the time you read this review, the season will be over and I will have my version of Surgehammer elevated to that interesting fourth level. At its first level, when you first receive it, it already has two melee attack points, three speed points, and five vitality points, which, with its eight-level evolution, will become three, four, and seven respectively, in addition to adding, unusually, three more shield points. In terms of special abilities, it has Flying and Opportunity from the start at its first level, and, as I said, it will add Cleanse when it reaches the fourth level and, finally, it will obtain Reverse if we manage to take our copy of Surgehammer to its eighth and final level of evolution.
Se trata Surgehammer de una carta rara del mazo de agua y pertenciente a la edición Conclave Arcana. En mi caso la tengo evolucionada a nivel 3 y estoy a solo una carta de poder ascenderla a nivel 4 y ganar así una nueva habilidad especial. Si no hay sorpresas desagradables en el momento en el que leas esta reseña ya habrá terminada la temporada y ya tendré mi versión de Surgehammer elevada a ese interesante cuarto nivel. En su primer nivel, al recibirla por primera vez, ya cuenta con dos puntos de ataque cuerpo a cuerpo, tres puntos de velocidad y cinco puntos de vitalidad que, con su evolución de ocho niveles, pasarán a ser tres, cuatro y siete respectivamente además de sumar, cosa rara, tres puntos más de escudo. En el apartado de habilidades especiales tiene Flying y Opportunity de inicio en su primer nivel, sumará, como te he dicho, Cleanse al ascender al cuarto y, por último, obtendrá Reverse si conseguimos llevar a nuestra copia de Surgehammer hasta su octavo y último nivel de evolución.
The battle in which you will see Surgehammer in action pits me against @miko67-001, and we will both be using water decks and four cards on the combat arena. Of the four, we will only have Deeplurker in common, which is a great card, and I will have to face my beloved Djinn Oshannus in my opponent's tank position in this battle. We will have 39 points of summoning mana available. Only water, life, and dragon decks are allowed, with death, fire, and earth being banned. The battle conditions to be aware of are Counterspell (pay attention to its importance, as you will soon see), Even Stevens, and finally, Four's a Crowd... which is why we are both playing with four cards.
La batalla en la que vas a ver en acción a Surgehammer me enfrenta a @miko67-001 y ambos vamos a formar con mazos de agua y cuatro cartas sobre la arena de combate. De las cuatro solo vamos a coincidir en Deeplurker, qué gran carta es esta, y voy a tener que medirme a mi querido Djinn Oshannus en el puesto de tanque de mi rival en este combate. Tendremos un maná de invocación disponible de 39 puntos. Solo están habilitados los mazos de agua, vida y dragón siendo baneados muerte, fuego y tierra y las condiciones de batalla presentes y a tener en cuenta van a ser Counterspell, ojo a su importancia como vas a comprobar en breve, Even Stevens y, por último, Four's a crowd... de ahí que ambos juguemos con cuatro cartas.
As you may have guessed from the two rounds in which Surgehammer has held its own on the battlefield, it is a card to be reckoned with and truly dangerous. Starting with two melee attack points, combined with Flying as a defensive ability and, especially, Opportunity as an offensive ability, give it very useful gameplay. Not surprisingly, the possibility of causing damage from the second line is an option that I, because of my playing style, always take into account and use extensively in my battles and strategies. In this battle, she didn't shine and only had time to cause four points of damage to an opponent card. However, I'm going to continue evolving her and in the future I'll take another look at her with a new analysis when she has a higher level and can shine in her own right on the battlefield.
Como has podido intuir en las dos rondas en las que Surgehammer ha aguantado sobre el campo de batalla es una carta a tener en cuenta y realmente peligrosa. El contar de inicio con dos puntos de ataque cuerpo a cuerpo unido a Flying como habilidad defensiva y, especialmente, Opportunity como habilidad ofensiva la dotan de una jugabilidad muy aprovechable. No en vano la posibilidad de causar daño desde la segunda línea es una opción que yo, por mi forma de jugar, tengo siempre en cuenta y utilizo con profusión en mis batallas y estrategias. En esta batalla no ha brillado y ha tenido tiempo para causar solo cuatro puntos de daño a una carta rival. Sin embargo, voy a seguir evolucionandola y en el futuro volveré a darle un vistazo con un nuevo análisis ya cuando tenga más nivel y pueda brillar con luz propia sobre la arena de combate.
