Splinterlands Diary: I Won Against Max Level Aurendrak and Vaelok

Hello Splinterlands players, I hope you have a nice day! Yesterday, I post about my first win against Jolius Blast. Now another battle against the dragon Arena Vanguard cards occurred. The battle this time was against Aurendrak legendary archon and dragon unit Vaelok. This is the first time that I fought against dragons in the Frontier mode of the game.

My team was the standard Death line up. Nim Guard Captain at tank and since the modifier included Equal Opportunity, I had New Beluroc Aegis in the team to attract attackers. Two magic units Little Sister and Sorrow Harvester were also in the team. Last but not the least was A'lan Musketeer for that Double Strike goodness. My opponent's cards were enviable. There were black foils in the mix but the card that made my eyes water were max level Alundrak archon and max level Vaelok. I already have Vaelok but can't use him in my battles because of not having a dragon archon.

I'm both envious and grateful to my opponent Mori for fighting me with these most desired cards. Like the battle against Jolius Blast, I was envious and discouraged at the same time and expected to lose. But Splinterlands continue to surprise me with a victory against a stronger opposition.

I think my cards worked better as a team than my opponent's no matter the strength of his cards were. It was a nice victory but I'm still feeling envy for my opponent's cards 😆
