My Splinterlands Diary: My First Battle Vs Jolius Blast
Hello Splinterlands players, I hope you have a nice day! The Arena Vanguard cards are already selling in the shop. The Arena Vanguard cards are stronger than the run of the mill Foundation cards. They maybe stronger than the legendary cards in the set. Players who saved their sparks already bought them and I was lucky to have my first fight against an Arena Vanguard card.
The card I fought against was Fire's Jolius Blast. It's a card designed to be a tank against magic units. In this case, the battle did not involve any magic cards but it's still stronger than Foundation card tanks.
Level one has high stats and only the Void ability. He doesn't have the Enrage and Retaliate abilities yet that will make him overpowered over other Foundation tanks. Still, his stats are already high at level one.
I formed my Fire team in this battle where magic units were not allowed by the modifier. It's a standard fire team made up of Frankarsgard and Chaos Furybringer in the frontline followed by range attackers. New Beluroc Aegis is far in the back to draw attacks.
I was shocked and disheartened to see my opponent already have the enviable card Jolius Blast and I was sure that I would lose. I clicked skip in disgust but I was surprised and delighted to see that I won.
I hit replay to see how I won by upset. Ok, now I see that my Frankarsgard have the Enrage ability that made him stronger when he is not at full health. It increased his attacking power and became stronger than Jolius. Another factor that went for me was having the legendary Agniavan Salamander. It has Blast that made additional damage to adjacent units. I got the victory in this battle but I'm still envious of the card Jolius Blast. I'm definitely stacking sparks to get him one day. I just hope I will not be too late, there's only a 250 cards for sale.
