Best regards Splinterlovers 💚

It’s been a while since I’ve analyzed random cards, and from now on I’ll be doing it much more often to showcase the cards’ potential. I’ll also highlight which ones you should have in your deck—the ones that can turn the tide of battle in an instant. Of course, this requires experience, but just focus on taking in the information so you can build a deck with the best possible cards. In the end, as I’ve always said, having a deck with powerful cards that you feel comfortable with is important for earning in-game rewards.

That’s why this time we’ll be looking at one of the cards I consider to be among the most powerful in the game. It doesn’t belong to “Arcana Conclave” or “Escalation,” which make up the bulk of the current meta, but rather to “Rebellion,” which, in my opinion, still contains extremely powerful cards—many of which easily belong in the current meta without a doubt. Of course, one thing to keep in mind is that this is the next set to move to “Wild Format,” so we have to be careful; however, with this set entering Wild and leaving Modern, these cards will likely become cheaper on the market.

So, if you want to learn more about this card called “Rage,” stick around until the end of this post—I’m sure you’ll learn something. It might be a short post, but it’s packed with quality information.

Rage – A Breakdown of Its Stats by Level

Rage is an incredible card, but it has a pretty high cost to summon it to the field; however, when you look at its stats, you can understand why that’s the case, that said, when we look at all its stats and abilities, it’s a pretty tough card to take down—I mean, it’s not just an offensive powerhouse, but also a very resilient card. To get a quick overview of both its stats and how they break down by level, take a look at the following image:

That said, we can see its impressive evolution stats as it levels up; however, what I'd like to share are its stats at max level and what its potential could be with them:

Statistics at the Highest Level

  • Attack: The maximum attack is 5 magic attack points, which is one of the most dangerous in the entire game; as a result, few cards can survive this type of attack. Although it can be countered, it’s also true that we can mitigate the damage dealt back to us.

  • Speed: Something I’ve always said is that speed is both an “offensive and defensive” weapon. That means it’s not just about your attack—if your speed is high, it increases your ability to defeat a large number of cards on the field.

  • Armor and Health: He has +5 health points, which is very high considering his attack power. In addition, his health total is 11 points, which is also a lot; since, if we provide him with “Support,” he can stay on the battlefield practically every round.

"Rage's" Abilities and Arsenal

The next strong point of “Rage”—and of any card, really—is its abilities. We can’t deny this, since they’re what give it the versatility that every card should have in order to assess its value. In fact, this card currently has a market price of $7.9 at level one. Of course, this isn’t the lowest BCX price, however, the lowest price already offers a Level 4 card and costs $60,368, bringing the BCX to $5,488.

But since we saw the value in analyzing skills more closely:

Abilities

  • Flying: Virtually every Dragon should have this ability. In my opinion, it indirectly boosts their defense and attack. If you think about it, with their speed and ability to fly, most opponents will miss their attacks, while the Dragon has a higher chance of hitting its target.

  • Void: This is a much-needed ability for Rage, since one of her weaknesses is undoubtedly her own attack power. If you play a card with “Magic Reflect,” you can reflect the attack, but with “Void,” you reduce that impact, so it’s very useful for her.

  • Weapons Training: This ability allows cards adjacent to “Rage” to gain attack points as long as they originally have no attack points. With its total power of 5, it can boost these cards by up to 3 attack points. Therefore, if we choose the cards around it wisely, we can combine their attacks to reach a total of 12 points.

  • Life Leech: In my opinion, this obviously increases the threat “Rage” poses to opponents on the field, since every time it deals damage, it’s practically guaranteed to regain 50% of that damage as health points. Therefore, the longer it stays on the field, the more resilient it becomes, which can make it an unbeatable card.

  • Affliction: On top of that, as if that weren't enough, playing "Rage" has a 50% chance of marking your opponent's cards and nullifying their regeneration ability—whether it's their own or that of an allied card—which is incredible for dismantling your opponent's defense.

Optimal conditions for playing it

  • High mana cost: Of course, given its high mana cost to cast, it's best to play it when you have a lot of mana.

  • Healed Out: Although he has “Affliction,” his “Life Leech” ability is very useful for strengthening himself while weakening his opponents.

  • Aim True: I couldn't miss a single attack—that would be monsters.

  • Explosive Weaponry: He would completely wipe out entire teams in just a few rounds.

Conclusion

It's an incredibly powerful card; I firmly believe it would be an almost mandatory addition to several decks, without a doubt. It's very strong—as you can see—though there are ways to counter it; it all depends on when you play it. So, it's not that it never loses, but it really all comes down to the player.
